Dined at Smokehouse twice during a 3D2N trip to Cameron. Had the rib eye with fries both times, and scones with tea the first time. Sat in the dining room the first time and the conservatory the second time. Service from this Indian (bald) Uncle was great - very professional. The other guy - we aren’t impressed, found his service just so-so.
Steaks were underdone - probably cooked from frozen. I recommend that you “done-up” by one or two notches - if you want a medium rare steak, say you want it medium well. Loved the bread buns when warm. Scones were fine, a little dry but ok.
The ambiance was fantastic and the cottage grounds were great for picture taking. Thought it was interesting that they make you order in the sitting room first and only heading to the table when the food was ready. Don’t know if this is traditional English or unique to Smokehouse but we found it quaint and amusing. Lovely place.
