Best house in all Huatulco... and I've rented quite some! Near the beach, new, well furnished, all necessary kitchen appliances, pool, and so on. Don't doubt it: go there.
What a well appointed vacation home! This home has everything you could think of needing while on vacation. The home is on a residential street with a vacation property on one side and local people living on the other side. When you enter the front gate and climb the stairs to the property, its like you are in your own oasis.
The property is masterfully landscaped with gardens surrounding the houses and pools.
The main house has a chef's kitchen with every tool or small appliance you might need. There is a charcoal barbeque on the patio, which we enjoyed cooking on nightly. Both the main house and the guest house are comfortable and clean.
The manager, Tamara, was very helpful and I would recommend booking the airport transfer and the pantry stocking service. It was so nice to arrive ready to cook, eat and drink on our first evening of vacation!
The property is well maintained by a lovely housekeeper, a gardener and a pool maintenance man.
Listen for the horn beeps in the morning! A man on a motorcycle is selling fresh tortillas from his cooler strapped to the back. Around noon, another truck comes around with full water bottles.
If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. The local dogs are quite active in the street and the roosters let you know they are there at all hours of the day and night. It adds to the experience but it might not if you can't sleep.
The beach is a quick walk and the Wahaca Cooking School is around the corner. I would highly recommended signing up for a class as it was so enjoyable!
The house is stocked with a cooler, towels and sun umbrellas for the beach but it is hard to leave such a lovely and private pool.
They have really thought of everything to make this a perfect vacation home.
This was a great location, 1 minute from the public beach (La Bocana) in a more residential neighbourhood of Huatulco. Tamara was lovely to deal with - very helpful and quick to respond to any questions or concerns before and during our stay. The pool and outside lounge area was where we spent 95 per cent of our time - comfortable and spacious, lots of sun and shaded areas for games, lounging and meals. It's away from the resorts, but still only about a ten minute taxi ride to town, groceries, restaurants, etc. Both the house and the Casita were clean and well-kept and nicely decorated. Be conscious of leaving open food out in the home because there are ants, and the master bathroom didn't always have hot water. It's not a luxurious property, but perfect for our needs.
My husband and I love Mexico's warmth, charm and convenience of travel. We have vacationed all over the country, staying at many of the popular spots - Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Zihuatanejo, etc. We wanted to explore a new place that offered a more traditional Mexican experience. Well, we found it in Huatulco. This is an up-and-coming area that offers modern amenities but still retains its small city charm.
We stayed at the Villa Aventura, a private home in Bocana Beach in one of the nine bays in the Huatulco region. A short drive from La Crucecita, the location was perfect - relaxing but also offered the opportunity to visit the picturesque and culturally interesting surrounding towns.
We loved our stay in Villa Aventura. It is a very comfortable, well-furnished home with a large refreshing pool. The main Villa and the smaller Casita are located on the beautifully landscaped property. The grounds are gorgeous with lush tropical plants, flowers, palm trees and a unique cactus garden. With several fruit trees we enjoyed bananas, mangos, limes and oranges. We like to cook, so we cut herbs from their garden to add classic flavors to some of our dishes.
We cannot say enough about this find. The Villa and Casita, decorated in traditional Mexican colors and local art, the property includes WIFI, flat screen TVs, a washer and dryer (a must for vacationing!) and air conditioning. The owners built this property with guest comfort and convenience in mind.
The Casita offers a group some flexibility and privacy to spread out. We found the main Villa to be spacious with two nice bedroom suites. Both are roomy and offer plenty of storage for clothes and toiletries. We loved the large and modern kitchen and the living room was a popular hang-out for meals and watching TV/movies. The decorations and paint colors gave us the true Mexican experience we were looking for.
Saving the best for last, the backyard and large pool was paradise with beautiful tropical plants surrounding the pool. It was great to have both sun exposure and shaded areas to hang out. We spent a lot of hours relaxing reading and playing
cards here. With the pool and landscaping lighting night swims are a must!
Bocana Beach is a peaceful, scenic beach with white, fine sand and rolling waves. Just around the corner from the Villa, we hung out at this beach and also sampled some light snacks and refreshments at the two local restaurants that face the ocean. Just gorgeous scenery!
We thoroughly enjoyed Villa Aventura and highly recommend this property. We look forward to our next vacation here!
My husband and I decided to return to Villa Aventura after having such a wonderful vacation last summer. But this time we had company staying with us for a few weeks. They had the same impressions of the property as we did: amazing gardens and fruit trees, fabulous and relaxing pool area, fantastic home and living areas, and complete privacy. The one-minute walk to the beach was another hit with our family, as they enjoyed the convenience of strolling the beach in the early morning hours without the need to pack up and ride in a car. The property owners bought some new furniture, including a sleeper sofa in the casita, so now that home sleeps four guests. My family considered using the casita, but decided to stay in the villa’s guest bedroom. They said that next time they’ll try the casita. We also went to several new restaurants around La Crucesita, about seven in all. And we returned to a few of our favorites that we discovered last summer. I’m sure we’ll be back again to Villa Aventura after having another fabulous vacation.
