Lovely cottage made even better by the fact we are able to eat in the hotel. Cottage was very comfortable and the hotel breakfasts and dinners were lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful
Great location in quiet village with hotel/restaurant & welcoming local pub / restaurant. 15 mins walk to beautiful beach . Ideal position to visit Alnwick , Bamburgh , Craster etc. Lovely coastal walks nearby.
2 large ensuite bedrooms, open plan fully fitted kitchen/dining table & spacious lounge area. Also separate downstairs toilet & utility/boot room.
Four of us on a golfing holiday in the area. We have stayed here 5 times before, and very much hope to be back. Good access to a range of courses, but also to wonderful beaches, castles etc. Meals in the Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel across the road excellent, with excellent service. Facilities in the cottage for self-catering comprehensive.
We stayed for two nights in Cottage No.2 and we breakfasted, wined and dined in the Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel. The accommodation was spacious, very comfortable and very well equipped with all self-catering essentials.
The Hotel proved to be very well managed, by human beings. Helpful and friendly service at all times.
We were delighted to see that sustainable fish and free-range produce were strongly featured throughout the menu.
Everything at practical pricing, with no booby traps.
And we very much enjoyed the showcase local coast walk from Embleton to Craster and back, past the famous castle ruins and the odd seal.
All in all, a perfect getaway weekend for us.
We chose this location for a family reunion, the accommodation was ideal with two en-suite bedrooms and a large lounge/kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped and included a washing machine and tumble dryer. The hotel just across the road had a well stocked bar and restaurant. It is an ideal location for children with good safe beaches and is close to Alnwick Castle and Gardens.
