Enjoyed a good lunch here with the family. The kids options were goof and very well cooked. Lovely battered chicken, home cooked fries and beans. The fries were excellent and I had to stop myself pinching them. The adults in the party had soup and sandwich which was fine. There seed to be quite a lot on offer on the specials board.

The setting is nice, it's not actually a lighthouse :) but a light airy room with fantastic views.

Overall a pleasant experience and I'd eat there again.

One comment would be with hindsight is that an itemised bill would be nice.

Would return.

It's as well to reserve a table here as its popularity is well deserved. It's situated right by the sea with lovely views if the weather is kind. You bring your own wine (or in our case Arran beer) - we suggest the Co-op in Brodick - not many other options). Food is local and generously presented and the style of cooking is very professional but unfussy. Service is very friendly and efficient and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening here..

When visiting any restaurant etc I feel it important to be made to feel welcome after all it's common curtesy. On entering the lighthouse which had about 10 to 12 people eating we were met by a stony faced woman who's welcoming line was ... "no dogs it's health and safety". Fair enough and so we put our pooch out into the car before returning to acquire a bowl of soup advertised at £4:50 with bread.
On returning we decided to just settle for a takeaway soup due to the woman's persistent unfriendly attitude which seemed strange. When we asked for a takeaway soup she then "nodded" over at the small plastic takeaway coffee cups stating that that was all she could supply our soup in which were tiny but as we were peckish and with the nearest other food outlet miles away we took her up on her "offer" and were told to just "sit down" as she disappeared through a door presumably leading to a kitchen where several minutes later she appeared back with our takeaway cups and with no bread apparent. When asked why there was no bread we were duly informed that takeaway soup did not come with bread hence the £2:50 price.
We paid and left and will never return her attitude was unbecoming of any decent host truly out of order.
