Amanvana is an excellent place to run away from the hustle-bustle of city life.
The staff is exceptionally polite and listen to you, when you need them.
The drivers to and from the hotel were punctual.
The hotel is exactly as seen in the pictures, not 1 bit different
I really enjoyed my stay here in the bungalows and would recommend other travellers to book your next spa at Amanvana, without any additional thoughts

One of the most amazing vacation we took as a family. We relaxed in this serene, comfortable and beautiful resort for two nights. We loved all the activities and trip. The river trek was fun and unique. Naveen's special coffee and his knowledge of the coffee plantation was wonderful. The chef went the extra mile to serve up Jain dishes for us and he made it so tasty. The spa massages were blissful thanks to the staff on duty. The property was amazing too. Overall worth the money spent. Highly recommend for a family getaway to a serene and beautiful place. Sujatha Rajaram

Enquiry was professional right from sending mail on the booking quotation to advance amount payment. Swaroop helped me in clarifying all the queries on booking.
Stay:
Right from the moment we entered the resort and until the time we checked out we were showered with hospitality. GRO - Tejaswi was really helpful in addressing all our queries. Room service was very quick. Really liked the daily compliment of chocolates and cookies ;-). Room is really good with adequate space for everything and we as a family of 3 felt the room really accommodating. The Sofa Cum Bed is a magic as it turns out be a full blown bed where 2 people can sleep well. The Food was amazing and we like the a la carte menu options. Morning bfast was good and it had complete spread of north indian and south indian. Restaurant service was amazing as Chandan was helpful in attending our requests. The resort is located right beside the highway to Madikeri hence makes the trips to the tourist spots really easy. The coffee plantation visit is a must as it gives you knowledge about various varieties of Coffee and how it is harvested at their estates. Naveen is the one who took us for the visit and he has really good knowledge on this. Also do not miss the walkway by the river side. It will give you a calming feel to the entire stay. Overall a really wonderful experience and would love to visit again. Thank you Amanvana.
We stayed at Amanvana resort on our recent trip to Coorg. Resort itself is located at the edge of the hills and not on the mountain itself. The property is beautifully maintained with lots of greenery and a variety of trees and shrubs. The bungalows are luxurious with tastefully done furniture and open air shower.
A tributary of river Cauvery flows right besides the resort. One can lay on a hammock near the stream and enjoy reading a book peacefully with the background sound of chirping birds and flowing water or have a lunch / candle light dinner at the riverside table.
The restaurant besides the pool serves limited variety but sumptuous food and drinks. Decor is well done. Breakfast buffet serves regular but tasty dishes.
Staff at the resort is courteous although with a slow response time. We had to follow up a couple of times to have an additional bed laid for our son or for enquiring about booking the river side table for dinner (we eventually did not book it as it costs an additional Rs 2500 for the candle light dinner, which is rather prohibitive).
Resort offers free bird watching, coffee plantation and river trek trips. We went for the coffee plantation and river trek trips.
Coffee plantation is owned by the resort promoters so the visit is free. One has to only arrange for a vehicle to travel to the plantation, which is nearby. Our resort guide Naveen was very knowledgeable and gave us a detailed explanation on the shrubs and entire process.
In the afternoon we went for the river trek. Our small entourage comprised of assorted guests staying at the resort. Trek began from within the resort as we crossed the adjoining tributary, walking across the meandering river at various points while strolling through the jungle. We enjoyed some fun moments in water, sitting on rocks in the middle of the river and clicked a plethora of pictures for a life time of memories. Our guide was again Naveen, whose candor made the entire trip fun filled yet safe.
Overall, I would highly recommend the resort to anyone expecting a boutique property with a beautiful riverside location at a reasonable price.
Loved the villa, ambience, food and service. Came here on a honeymoon package which included a candle light dinner in addition to regular package. Make sure to book your candle light dinner location well in advance. I wasn't told I had to do that. Missed out on the river side location. Next best option is the "Rabbit Hole" which is still a not so bad location for a candle light dinner. Loved the arrangements and service. The complementary spa session was relaxing and totally worth the time. Best part is the food. The variety and taste is too good. Rooms are clean and well furnished. Overall, loved the stay and would recommend this place for any kind of vacation.
