Upon arrival we were greeted by Christine and Charles who were very friendly welcoming. Christine showed us to the Pink Room which was beautiful and asked if we would like to have coffee in the gardens. I had emailed ahead letting them know I was vegan and so when she brought our drinks she presented me with soy milk. The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. Our room was also beautiful and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was huge! There were nice touches such as toiletries, robes and slippers, and a table set up with water and tea/coffee making facilities. They also have a DVD room where you could help yourself to a movie to watch. You order your breakfast the evening before and there was a lot of choice. In the morning you are sat with the other guests whilst Christine and Charles prepare breakfast, which made it that bit more personal. We stayed for two nights but had to head back early on our last day and they offered to prepare us breakfast to take with us which was very nice of them. Christine gave us some great tips and advice on things to do and see. You can see she is really passionate about the place and her animals, which we enjoyed hearing all about - if you go make sure you bring Dolly the horse some polo's :) All in all I cannot fault...More
