I've just spent three days here and enjoyed every moment. Quiet location in a beautiful area, the view from the lodge was terrific. The accommodation was very comfortable, and had everything you could want for your stay. Quick response to enquiries from the owners, friendly phone calls and warm reception from Trude on arrival. She gave a thorough run down of everything I needed to know. The biscuits to have with an arrival cuppa was a nice touch. Lots of bird life, and binoculars to look for other animals. A plus was being able to have the dogs inside. I'd certainly stay again and would recommend to others.

This is a beautiful place, so peaceful and quiet. I have been several times, but this visit was my first in approx. ten years. Pleased to say nothing had changed much, still gorgeous! Lots to see and do in the area, hosts Trude and Adrian very obliging with a wealth of local knowledge, always happy to help.

I could just sit and gaze at the view from that scenic window for ever....

“A beautiful place to stay”
Reviewed 31 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

After mail- and telephonecontact with Trude, we booked lodge nr. 3 for 3 nights. And we wish afterwards we had more time. We had a very warm welcome with Trude and she gave a good tour in the lodge with all kind of information (which was also available on the map in the lodge). The lodge was well equipped and clean and the scenery through the large window was perfect. There was a good wifi-connection and tv. We made tours with our car (and you need one to get to the lodge) to John o' Groats and Scourie. And we played on the golfcourse of Brora. The only little negative: there was no good storage space for the suitcase. We were with 2 people, but when you are with four it wil be cramped. And why a bath? Only a shower and there is more space in the bathroom. But overall we recommanded this lodge to everyone!

Many thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Whilst we realise many of our guests prefer a simple shower other, especially with young children, like a bath. We do hope you will stay with us again one day and explore more of the fabulous area we live in.
Kind regards
Adrian & Trude

This was our 2nd stay at highland glen lodges and was again brilliant. We received a warm welcome from Trude, who did her utmost to make sure we settled in. A warm cosy lodge welcomed us and was in spic and span condition. Lovely little things like shortbread set out for us. The kitchen is fully equipped from a magi mix to salt and pepper. Everything you need is there as is the cleaning products. Bedrooms are cosy, immaculate and the bedding is of a high quality.
The view is awesome and the atmosphere is very tranquil, even with 3 kids and a dog in tow!
Lots to do in the surrounding area, even the falls of shin didn't disappoint what with its visitor centre burned down. It's a bit early in season but we still spotted a few small salmon making their journey upstream.
Dunrobin castle is a must see, the kids loved it. Pittentrail Inn down the hill at the local village have a large menu and the food was good!
All in all a great weekend away.
I highly recommend Highland Glen lodges :) just wish we could've stayed longer. Next time we will be booking a week.
