Description: We are now closed for 2017. Opening date for next year will be Sunday 20th May 2018. The Skipness Seafood Cabin is a seasonal, family run venue that prepares and sells locally sourced, fresh seafood dishes. It also provides a variety of homemade cakes and scones. The Cabin is set in the idyllic village of Skipness, which makes up for its removed, some may say isolated, location with beautiful scenery, easy walks, beaches, castles and stunning views of the Isle of Arran. The restaurant aims to provide an easy going relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and leaves well fed and satisfied! We look forward to seeing you soon.

We were visiting the area recently for our wedding anniversary and really wanted to try the Seafood Cabin but was disappointed to find out that it wasn't due to open until the day after our return home. However, as luck would have it we were out walking in the area and noticed that it seemed to be open. We were told they were open for a staff training day and although they didn't have everything available on the menu they very kindly put together a fabulous seafood platter for us. I am so pleased that we were passing - it really made our day. The food was fantastic. Amazing scallops, oysters, salmon and mussels (and a lovely Arran ale). Although the weather that day wasn't great, the views were still stunning and we loved meeting Coco the very friendly deer! Thanks for a fabulous lunch.

We were delighted with the quality of the seafood. The oysters were just fantastic, mussels splendid, and all other items including hot smoked salmon roll with salad super. Well worth the drive. We'll be back.

Holidaying in the area we were craving some fresh Scottish seafood and heard about the seafood cabin. It was quite a drive but well worth it. Beautiful surroundings, some dogs, horses and deer just roaming around. A deer even came right up to our table! As an animal and seafood lover this was great...only animal that spoilt our experience was the midges. Fortunately they dont bite me but the nice man from the cabin offered my partner some repellant as he could tell he was struggling. Would go back here a million percent and highly recommended.

A local on Arran recommended this place. We got off the ferry followed the wooden sign that had fallen off the post. Great drive with fantastic views on the way. Found the cabin , which is part of the attraction it being off the beaten track. Nice welcome and the sea food platter did not let us down with great variety of fresh fish and shell fish . Everything was fresh and top quality. The wine was good and came with a chiller jacket ( nice touch ). The views are spectacular from there. Worth effort to find the place. Would go again

This is simplicity done at its best. We stopped off here after a recommendation from a friend, and sat on a bench outside, in the sunshine, drinking lovely white wine and enjoying some beautiful fresh seafood. If you are travelling around this area of Scotland you have to stop here...there is a lovely walk up to the castle too if you feel like working off a bit of your lunch.
