My wife and I have just returned from Moidart having spent 5 days in the area, based at the Mingarry Park Hotel. It's very remote as you'd expect with not much in walking distance, but it's ideally placed to explore South West into Ardnamurchan and North to Glenfinnan, Arisaig, Mallaig and Skye.

The hotel is very clean and modern, it's been decorated within the last few years but it is still very fresh. The restaurant has views towards Loch Shiel and the hills beyond, there's a herd of deer on the grounds which gives you a wee treat at meal time if they're around.

The food is excellent the venison stew was so good I had it twice, melt in the mouth. The breakfast can be tailored to your preferences and was excellent.

The staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful.

I'd recommend the Mingarry Park Hotel to anyone planning on exploring the area, we visited Ardnamurchan lighthouse, Ardnamurchan Distillery, Glenfinnan, Arisaig, Mallaig, Tarabhaig distillery, Three Chimneys and Talisker distillery from the hotel.

We stayed in Mingarry Park for one night in March 2018, and opted to stay in the Moidart Suite. The room was very spacious, very tasteful and modern decoration, but the crowning glories for were the mattress and the picture perfect views of Beinn Resipol from our own private balcony.

As for the food, it was out of this world. Beautifully presented and delicious. I can recommend the peanut butter baked Alaska! The staff were fantastic too - very welcoming, and always happy to help.

As for the hotel itself, it is situated in a area of superb natural beauty. There are many attractions and walks near by. It's a perfect staging area for exploring Moidart and Ardnamurchan.

For what is on offer, this Mingarry Park is fantastic value for money.

Lovely light , warm, quiet and comfortable room with everything you need. Spotlessly clean with a good shower. Friendly staff.
Great dinner menu and a lovely breakfast.
Situated in a lovely part of Scotland with great walking, fishing and stalking.
Would definitely return.

Mingarry park was new to us and didn't disappoint. A warm welcome, high standard of room and a very good evening meal/breakfast were had. Add to this the fantastic location, Scotland in Autumn is spectacular especially in this area. I know it's a cliche but we will be back.

Very comfortable room with lovely little details to add a touch of luxury. Comfy bed and spotlessly clean bathroom with a great hot shower.

Staff were friendly and professional. We also ate in the restaurant and had a fine dining experience. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice.
