We stayed at a house in the resortworld property. We were supposed to have access to resort amenities. Inconsistent service. Two of four pools were closed/abandoned. On the monday, the pools were a trashed ghost town with no service being provided whatsoever. Service got better later in the week. Restaurants were good. Island time service. Ethan in the Tides and Rashad, the bellman were the service highlights of the trip. Seemed like very few employees wanting to do any more than the bare minimum. Read my entire trip report here.

This is our 2nd time at the resort, 2 years apart. I have to say that I was very surprised to see the difference in 2 years. Property has deteriorated substantially, especially the outdoors. The main entrance, outside is in need of cleaning (pavers) and maintenance to the steps. The lobby tiles are dirty and the grout needs cleaning. I understand from the heavy traffic. The bathroom in the lobby is a mess. One faucet is totally off the wall, only the copper tube is present. The other faucets do not work or it’s hard for the sensor(s) to kick in. The rug in the corridors need spot cleaning. You don’t need heavy equipments, just clean when it’s dirty. The seating in the lobby are in need of major cleaning. Too light therefore needs attention frequently. The roof top pool (adults only) is not as beautiful as before. You see children in the roof top pool. The lounge chairs are in need of cleaning or replacing. The pools are never picked up at the end of the day. The service at the casino restaurant, Hemingway’s, is terrible, you will only see your waiter twice. This is basically the same for all the restaurants (Tides & Luna Beach). We received better service at the sushi place. We understand that it’s island life but it’s unacceptable as your time in the island is shorten just by waiting. We believe in relaxing but this is too much relaxation. Housekeeping is a mess! One day we were left without the room being serviced. The other day, we were left with 2 towels and no shampoo/conditioner. When I called in, I did received the towels immediately. Now, let’s talk about the pool/beach towels, this is a major issue. No towels at the pool or beach. You must bring the towels left in your room for these areas. Once you used them, housekeeping will not replenish them during our stay (6 days). You have to hunt a good samaritan to give you the pool/beach towels. At the beach, it’s hard to find an attendant to buy the umbrellas. One day we set them up and after the umbrellas were set up the attendant showed up to charge us the full price. We told him that we had been waiting for at least 10 min & that st a minimum there should be no charge ir a reduced fee, he replied that it was full price. Mind you the beach was empty, it was a Monday. I believe the hotel is understaff, especially on the days the ferry arrives and when occupancy is high, Saturday’s & Sunday’s. Overall, it gives me the impression that this Hilton property is the forgotten one from the Hilton name. We did enjoy our stay in Bimini but I wonder how the property will be next year, if we would come back to it again.

We came back because of our outstanding experience last year. Not so good this trip. Trash cans overflowing, trash on pool bar, trash around rooftop bar and an overall dirty feeling. Room floor was disgusting and after housekeeping stopped by no new towels. No towels at pools. Restroom at beach bar was worse than most truck stop restrooms I've seen. Attempted to share concerns with manager on duty, he could have cared less. No clue what's going on but it's certainly not what it should be. Very disappointed.

When you do eventually get here - Rent a Golf cart. The Ferry from Miami (FRS-Carribean) takes about 2-4 hours to bring you here - but when you do - it's Paradise!.. Staff are friendly ( although Slow - it's the island's way of making things go slow). Price is right - try venturing out (golf cart) - even walking to the southern most pount is 3.0 miles at most!.. Breathtaking views , Rooms are great, Beaches are like you've seen nothing before!

Hilton is really nice. Clean, beautiful setting. Service is better than most in the Bahamas. Just need to relax and expect things to move slowly. Decent restaurants when they are open. Pools are all nice and so s the beach. Service at Luna Beach was the worst. I’d stick to the restaurants right in the Hilton.
