This is an older establishment with some real "character". The docks similarly are old, but functional. At $0.85 a foot for dockage on sail or power boat it is a bargain.

Power is a bit iffy and went off a couple of times, (For the whole island)

Customs clearance is an easy walk but watch the traffic... no sidewalks and the streets are narrow. Look right when you cross... this is British style left hand driving.

You can bring a bicycle but I would be way too afraid to use it in Alice Town.

Room Tip: No rooms at the moment juts transient boat slips

Went On a fishing outing and stayed two nights a Weech's dock and hotel. Boat dockage $35 night and room $95 with two single beds. Very basic-beds, hot water shower, air, dresser. Thin walls so bring ear plugs as Big Johns bar/rooms abut and parties go on to 2:30am: reservations honored, but as you walk off the dock be careful to checkin to the right in what looks like a storeroom, not left, which is Big Johns and double the price. No food service at Weech's. For breakfast go out front, turn right, go up street past low wall and park, and left up the hill to CJs, a yellow local shack on the beach with good, basic food.

Cheapest place in Bimini, nearest to the jetty that takes you to the other island where the airport is.

The owners are very friendly locals, and the sister runs the hardware store that is on the same property.

It's next to the popular Big John's bar and grill, so it's convenient and inconvenient at once, especially on a weekend night, when the music blasts to the early morning, and if you need to wake up at an ungodly hour to go diving, it's really not a great combination for a good night sleep.

First time staying on the island instead of a boat. This is an older island hotel that is clean with good AC and water pressure but older furnishings. If you're looking for a modern feel and elbow room looks towards Big Game or Bimini Bay. I like this older, smaller hotel because I could spend more cash on beer! We walked to the beach for snorkeling but rented a golf cart (at Bimini Bay for $70 per day) while we were there for more options. Breakfast at Capt Bob's was good. When we got tired of seafood we ate really good burgers at Bimini Bay at their village center. Best of both worlds when you have wheels. We took the new Bimini SuperFast cruise ship from Miami. $360 round trip for 3 people.
Sea Crest is another less expensive hotel option that is a little quieter and newer than Weech's.
PS: Sailor hasn't learned any new words. : )

Room Tip: Rooms over looking the bay are the best. Room #2 has 2 twin beds.

This was our second trip to Bimini and we stayed at Weeches both times. The rooms are clean and it is small and quite. All of the people at Weeches are great, including Sailor. We will be back - hopefully next year.
