“Beautiful Sandbar”
Reviewed 28 January 2012

Gold Rock Beach is beautiful and secluded. There is a huge sandbar at this beach which is perfect for young children. Don't expect to see seashells because you won't find any here. You could snorkel, if you don't mind swimming out a bit.

Bring your own lunch, snacks and water because there is no store here and no bathroom.

“beautiful secluded paradise!”
Reviewed 27 January 2012

This place is everything the reviews state & more. We were there for several hours & only saw a handful of people come & go. After a small hike (10 mins or so) the path opens to a view of only the beautiful blue water as far as the eye can see. The sand is pristine. We found many star fish. There were hardly any birds. It is so secluded & just a beach paradise. Definitely a must do - but check for low tide before you go!

“Worth the trip”
Reviewed 22 January 2012

It's a little bit of a drive to get here but don't let that stop you. It is our favorite place to go on the island. Be sure to go at low tide for best effect. The expansive view is amazing. The way light plays on the water it's like walking through a water color painting.

No amenities or shade. Bring everything with you that you need. About a 5 minute walk through the mangroves on a boardwalk which is very pleasant as well. The caves across the streets are worth a look and don't take very long.

“Small park and nice beach”
Reviewed 5 January 2012

The park is quite small but nice and the beach is nice as well. The park upped the price to $5pp, but maybe just for the slower tourist season. I was hoping to do some snorkeling while at the beach, but a cold front came through and the water was 60 degrees so no go. It looked very promising though and I did find a footlong starfish during low tide. The park has a north and south side. North side has a short nature trail with two caves, one of which was closed UFN for boardwalk repair. The north side overall needed some cleanup and maintenance but was neat to see a cave. The south side leads to the beach and is a longer nature boardwalk in much better condition. One side is for viewing marine life and the other is for taking in the flora. However probably due to the temperature and season, there were no flowers and no marine life to be seen. It was still a nice nature trail and the beautiful beach is at the end. If only it wasn't do cold when I went :(
