“Beautiful Amenities; Bad Housekeeping and Service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2012

The amenities at the hotel are wonderful but the rooms are subpar and there is NO housekeeping. When we arrived at our room we had a view of a junk yard and there were no towels. There were four of us but only one bed was made. We were told that housekeeping no longer "does beds." Four hours after we checked into our room, the front desk brought us towels and bedding for the other bed in the room. In the three days we were there, housekeeping did not clean our room.

This hotel was literally a small apartment complex taken over by a hotel company. As soon as you get there they give you an activities sheet for the day because check-in isn't till 4pm. My friends and I had to walk to our room, which was across the street. We were not offered help with our bags to the room, plus there were no elevators and we were on the third floor. The room (small apartment) had one bedroom, and one couch bed, a kitchen with pretty much all the stuff u needed, and the one bathroom. Of course all the stuff we kept hearing from the locals was make sure you put your valuables in the safe in the room cause you can't trust anybody who works here. So we felt real safe after that....not!

My wife and 10 year old spent a magnificant 3 days at this resort. The Condo style 2 bedroom was perfect. Very clean and well appointed. We were a moments wlak to the pool and Beach. The Staff was very friendly. Be prepared to be offered the opportunity to purchase a Time Share/Vacation Ownership. Don't be fooled by any other reviews this place was great. Fantastic Beach.

Room Tip: Request a room on the ground level. Great for sitting out at night.

The resort is exaclty what everyone in the above reviews stated. Beautiful quiet beach.not overcrowded. The lifeguard has your chairs and towels ready as you walk onto the beach. Rooms do need improvement with the linens and the shortage there of. I had to call for towels as there were only 2 and 3 of us! The roll out bed had no sheets when we returned. Alarm clock broke and toaster didnt work. They attended to all of these immediately (and gave a certificate to the Spa) so it was all good. The beach is beautiful... you dont have to fight for beach real estate.. can walk up the beach for lobster tails..3- 5 minute walk and 3/$10.00 beers. Better that resort prices for a nice change. You also have free shuttle to Port Lacaya if you want a variety in your dining ( Le Med, Goivanni and Zorbas-- Great Places or a shuttle to buy food your your suite. ( convient store on property is convient but pricey) The beach security does a nice job keeping the venders.. (who ask you to come look at their suveniers t shirts beads then ask ur kids to buy weed) off the property. Lastly..about the Timeshare - Anything verbal discussed is not honored after you sign the document- be careful ...r u buying 15 years?? 30 years? Interval meaning anytime?? Is it an annuity meaning you get ur money back after 15 yrs? Be careful!

Room Tip: Both are nice the marina side and the courtyard all good..

I am the grandmother of 10 beautiful children. I recently had a rare opportunity to visit Grand Bahama Island. Since I could not afford to take all 10 of the children I chose to take the 2 oldest, 16 & 15 year old girls. We stayed at the Island Seas Resort in Freeport and loved it. The restaurants are very good and the staff very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Ask for an oceanview since the ocean is just behind the resort. The sea is beautiful.
