Our tour guide ( Heyward ) took us here for lunch and might I say it was perfect the food was delicious and the first place on the island I found Corona light ( my beer of choice ) the mixed drinks were also very good . The beach here was just amazing , the staff was very friendly and efficient.

As part of a tour to the East End Caves, we stopped at Banana Bay to enjoy lunch on the beach. The beach was great for picking up some rocks and shells. The food was average, but very acceptable. Service was a bit slow, but extremely polite.

We came across Banana Bay because it is right down the road from Garden of the Groves. The restaurant is right on Fortune Beach, a gorgeous attraction itself. Staff was friendly and prices average for the island. They rent chairs for $4.50/day (a steal compared to what resorts charge). He had the conch burger -- taste was ok, but it was similar to a conch fritter (some small pieces of conch spread throughout, but more breading than conch). I had the mahi mahi which was GREAT. The best meal I had on our entire trip.

From other reviews it sounds like this place gets packed in peak months, but if you have the chance to go off-season, DO IT! It felt like our own paradise.

Wonderful restaurant with an awesome view of the beautiful blue waters of Fortune beach. So, take your swim suit.i had the grilled shrimp with fries which was awesome. Other people in my party had the burgers which they highly recommend.
But, the best part was desserts. Make sure to try the hot apple pie or brownie ala mode. The are huge and delicious.
