When entering----feels a bit dated, yet charming and welcoming.
Say "HELLO" to MAX the 40 yr. old parrot in the center of the lobby lounge.
BAHAMA MAMAS were excellent! Staff and attendants were very friendly
and accommodating!
Great downtown location.
Worth a visit when in the area.

Room Tip: Upper levels are quiet and there is a rooftop patio

We were part of a food tur that stopped by the Towne Hotel Restaurant and Bar. The bar inside is called the Talking Stick and we were most happy to see that we were being served a true Bahama Momma. Everyone really enjoyed the drink and we were pleased to have the owner stop by and welcome us and introduce us the ‘Max’, the hotel mascot, a macaw parrot. After drinks, our tour guide took us on a walk through the hotel and see a room to get some ideas on possible locations to stay if we decided to return to Nassau. The hotel is small and has just enough room space to make a stay there most comfortable and it is close to everything in Nassau. It would be a perfect place to stay and is reasonably priced. This may be a return destination for us someday!

Room Tip: First floor gives you easy access to pool and bar.

Rooms are safe and it is in a good location downtown. My room was on the first floor by the pool, so it is noisey with people sit out late talking. The decor is real dated and worn out. The rooms are as clean, to a point.
The breakfast was fruit, toast and boiled eggs. Trust me, no seconds.
For the price, this hotel needs a major renovation.
Staff was nice enough.

Room Tip: Maybe upstairs

We stayed here for 5 days. The price is moderate or, maybe, inexpensive compared to many of the lodgings in Nassau. Accommodations were fine, although the lobby and eating are are noisy with two tvs going at all times. Wifi reception was best there if you could put up with the noise, although decent in other parts of the hotel. The inner courtyard by the pool and the upper level balconies overlooking the pool were my favorite locations outside of our room since they were nice and quiet. Staff were uniformly very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was o.k. but nothing special. The location is very central and handy in Nassau.

Folks have been way too hard on this place. It is by no means deluxe accommodations, but it is heavy on tropical-rustic charm. Staff are very friendly, and I found the food absolutely superb, and very underrated! Although a makeover may be in order, I fear it may loose its charm. The two things they do need to change are the hard beds, and the pool area. (Which is soooo hard to get in and out of in its present state) The location is spot on...walking distance to everything. Get on the bartenders good side and you have made a great friend. I do think they need to come down a couple of $$ on the beer prices! ($6 for a Kalik)
