Booked into the Premier Inn in Merthyr Tydfil as a halfway house stop enroute to Pembrokeshire with a family room.
Nice enough room at £35 for the night, so good value.
Everything you'd expect from a Premier Inn.
Helpfull friendly staff.
Only downside was trying to get into the carpark from the A4060. Not signposted, and only accessible from one side of dual carridgeway - no info on webpage.

Room tip: No choice given for a Family Room!

Staff here were extremely helpful, but the hotel itself is tired and the food from Whitbread's table table (Pentrebach House) is apalling. I took breakfast at 06:30 and was served up a plate of cheep, under cooked food, which I just left... Couldn't be bothered to whinge about it. I have to admit to be used to staying in better hotels, and I suppose you get what you pay for, but at £9.50 for inedible food, I think it was poor. Dinner in the same place the night before was equally unimpressing.

Room tip: Rooms on the side away from the road are quitest
