This unusual hotel features "the ground floor at the top of the hotel and takes you to the top at the bottom". The balcony offers a panoramic view of northern Port-of-Spain. One looks out on the rich greenery of the foliage which in pockets has entwined itself with the walls of the hotel to the far horizon where the waters of the coastline is dotted with ships. The "night food/room service" is excellent.

Hotel is out of the city center, about five kilometres. I stayed two nights. arrived the room, there were no shampoo or shower gel, a bath robe was also not available in the room *I looked everywhere). All day long drilling sounds came from all over, even though officially the hotel is not under renovations.
went to the concierge to ask about tours, was given info of drivers of the hotels. asked about other companies, but was told that they do not have any info of this kind
went to eat breakfast, on the way I had to cross a long hall. saw a half eaten sandwich on the floor. came back to my room, the half sandwich was still there. went out after an hour to take a tour, it was there and also after a few hours when I came back. only at night after many hours it was cleaned.

My wife and i always stay at the hotel. Its very comfortable and relaxing. The staff are very nice and helpful. The environment is always clean. There is a cab service to take you around to site seeing shopping in Port of Spain. The hotel is overlooking the big Savannah where you can go to exercise or just relax.

If you want luxury pay the 20% more and go to the Hyatt. If the economics don't work pay 30% less and go to the radisson.

This is my second and final stay at the Hilton TT On my first visit some 18 months ago I raised the issue of the shoddy public areas the dated decor and the general feel of an establishment that had seen better days. I was informed the hotel was about to undergo a facelift.

Fast forward to July 2016. Nothing has changed it is just 18months older than it was then

Food average at best the menu lacks imagination, presentation and quality The buffet breakfast is ok but expensive, be sure to check your room rate includes breakfast.

Accommodation dated drab and tardy. The paint work does not look to have been touched since it first went up some 50plus years ago. The carpets are worn the furniture tatty. The bed was comfortable but the overall feel was very tired. The minibar empty the only water was two bottles per night and then not guaranteed every night. Note well to get supplies from a local store of water and snacks if you pay hotel prices or even the shop attached to the hotel be prepared to remortgage. Room service dishes left outside the room could remain there for over 24 hours a real lack of pride in the hotel throughout.

Pool area is a vast mass of concrete very much a throwback to the 60-70s. The pool has chipped paint rusty ladders and a total feeling of neglect. Pool staff are near nonexistent there is a bar area that never seems to be open. If you want some form of refreshments you need to go into the Restaraunt to order. Used dishes are left out all day and the whole experience is one of complete neglect.

The view from the lobby lounge bar is excellent. The service from the lounge bar is poor

The staff, with a few exceptions, give the impression of being in interested in your well being and your satisfaction with your stay. Which is a real shame.

To top it all off it is very expensive it is living of former glories stuck in the 1970s Not worth the money on any levels crying shame for what should be Trinidads premier hotel

Being on business, the hotel was very convenient and accomodating. The service provided was great, and the staff was very mannerly and friendly, and always willing to assist. The meals were very tasty, though some were new to me. The restaurant staff readily explained them to me
