This is a must see before going to see the scarlet ibis roost at the Caroni Swamp, as you get to see these beautiful birds really close, together with a host of other wetland birds, including striated heron, red-capped cardinal, black bellied whistling duck, purple gallinule, wattled jacana. Magnificent view of an osprey fishing in a lake in the golf course next to the Wildfowl trust! Well worth an hour or two's visit for the serious birder.
