This is the brain child of one brave lady !
In the corner of a refinery this place was built !
How surprising is that ? A most eautiful trip with lots to see and appreciate .
One cannot help feeling much love for the young people who serve here taking care of the birds and other animals .

The wildfowl trust tour takes you on beautiful nature walk around two lakes where peacocks, wild fowls, scarlet ibis and other creatures are in abundance.

A small trail winds around a pond showcasing local trees, birds and flowers of which some are named in Latin and local language. It's wonderful to listen to the serenity in the bird calls and find yourself in a place and time where the ugly sounds of traffic and industry didn't interfere A guided tour is an option if you wish also where u can interact with staff about the preservation of this marvelous ecosystem
The pond lilies and fishes were beautiful. The bridge across the pond made it easy to look at fishes and even frogs. For locals, it's easy to reconnect here to yourself and just relax but for metropolitan visitors it's a must see place where u can show your children the most amazing flowers ,plants ,birds ,frogs and fishes. I recommend this place highly.

this place is a little gem in the grounds of an oil refinery- brilliant amount of bird species very peaceful with walks to do. Lovely and also great value for money- worth the trip about an hour from POS I'm a taxi.

This bird sanctuary was truly unexpected. Many of the locals have not heard of it, and it's definitely in a location you would not expect it to be, on the compound of an oil refinery. But don't let that damper your thoughts. This place is fantastic! The animals are beautiful to watch. You can really tell that the place takes pride in taking care of the animals and letting them live safely in their trust.
