We have been to Grand Cayman several times staying at a variety of condos along Seven Mile Beach. We were comprised of 3 families staying in ground floor units 4 and 5 and second floor condo 18. This was our first visit at London House and we loved many things about the property. First, the hammock hut and the ample amount of hammocks stationed around the grounds were enjoyed by everyone in our 10 person family. We loved all the shade the massive trees provided especially since the Cayman August sun can get brutal during the day. Units 4 and 18 were two-story condos and it was picturesque and private to have the master bedroom window open to the beach view all the time. The shuffle board was frequently in play throughout the day. We love the location close to the yacht club, west bay restaurants, and a short ride to Camana Bay and Georgetown shopping. The view of the ocean is always stunning along seven mile beach which is the exact location of London House. I feel like I should report that our teenagers were disappointed by the lack of a hot tub on the property, but the adults never missed it. The pool was on the small side but it never seemed crowded. We will be returning to London House hopefully same time next year.

This area of Seven Mile Beach is AWESOME. Crystal Clear Water, we have never swam in water so warm and clear. The Condo was very nice the only improvement I would say it needs is maybe a ice machine. Very quiet and although it is along a busy street on one side you can still enjoy your vacation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at London House and would definitely stay here again. I was a bit concerned the kitchen and bathrooms might be a bit outdated and that we might be disappointed with our ocean view but we were very pleasantly surprised with our unit and the view. I will attempt to give a comprehensive review of Unit 11, in the hope it might help some decide which unit to book. PROS: Except for the kitchen, which DOES accommodate full size appliances, both floors of the unit are spacious. Although a bit small, the kitchen size is perfectly adequate unless you have several cooks in there at once. The kitchen and bathrooms have solid surface countertops with integrated sinks and nice fixtures. There is mostly porcelain tile throughout the unit but it does have what appears to be a travertine look ceramic tile on the bathroom walls. Master bath has a tub/shower combination with nice quality (thick) glass doors. The second bathroom has a large, walk-in shower - again with nice quality glass doors. Bedrooms are spacious with two nice size closets in the master and a king bed. Second bedroom has a queen and single bed so could sleep three. My husband and I have low back issues and we found the beds to be quite comfortable :-) and we enjoyed pretty good sleep, considering we were away from home. The A/C unit worked great! The furnishings and art work are very nice with a beach vibe. The round table on the lanai could adequately seat 4 people but not much room to spare around the table. There is a drying rack for towels and room for another chair to be brought to the lanai, if needed (although it would not fit at table). There are 3, nice size, flat screen TV's and 3 telephones in this unit; in Living Room and both bedrooms. Also, there are ceiling fans in these three rooms. There is an apartment size (stacked style) washer and dryer at the top of the stairs. (Bring your own laundry detergent). The unit has excellent WI-FI throughout, as well as WI-FI on the beach, which was a plus. The beach is stunningly beautiful and was quiet when were there the last week in May. Plenty of beach chairs were available this time of year and London House does provide beach towels. There were other families/couples staying at London House but everyone was respectful and noise was never an issue. There are pool toys (air mattresses, "donuts", noodles, etc.) for guests to use but no life jackets that I could see. The grounds were beautiful and well manicured! There is plenty of room on the beach for both sun-worshippers and shade seeking folks. My husband especially enjoyed the hammocks. There is also a shuffleboard court and a volleyball net on the beach. CONS: Very few. In my opinion, only two items "dated" the unit and that was the stairs to the second floor - a fresh coat of white paint on the banister and new carpet on the treads would finish this unit nicely. As far as the London House itself goes, the office staff, as well as the Housekeeping and Grounds staff were all polite and friendly. The only suggestion I have would be to keep a supply of small coolers available for guest check-out for use when beach hopping or exploring the island. Bottom line: We would stay here again in a heartbeat and would most definitely book unit 11 - we felt it had enough view of the beach and ocean that we were pleased with our stay. Oh, I failed to say it was only 60 seconds from our door until we had toes in the sand! Out the door, down a flight of stairs, through a breezeway and maybe 20 more feet and you were on the beach. I'm missing it already!

Room Tip: Don't be afraid to book unit 11 - it's more than just a "garden" view.

Spent 6 days at the London House, on 7 mile beach. We rented the penthouse, as we needed 3 bedrooms. The unit is nicely appointed and had everything we needed. Except for the elevator. I know things go much more slowly in the carribbean, but really. We booked in January and were notified that the elevator to the 3rd floor penthouse was not working. We had one person who walks with a cane and another who badly needs a knee replacement (a whole nother story) and could have really used the elevator. 5 months and you can't get the elevator fixed?

Anyway, the setup is great, with the pool steps from the beach. The hammock hut got a lot of use and having shade on the beach was a wonderful respite from the sun.
Having a water fountain or bathroom at pool level would have been a great addition.

It is only 20 units or so big, so it was relatively quiet on the property. I don't think it was full the week we were there. Often times we were the only ones on the beach. The beach has a fairly wicked drop off into the water which made it a spectacle each time we had to get out. it you have bad knees or hip or similar, make sure you have someone with you to help you out!!

Not walking distance to shops or restaurants, so you will need a car or taxi or bus to get to grocery store, etc.

Room Tip: The building is not straight across the beach, but rather catty cornered, so I would ask for units close to the beach.

Stayed at the London House for 6 nights and was very happy with our choice. The location was away from the crowded resorts and felt like a private beach.
There were plenty of hammocks, chairs, and loungers to go around, with SUP board rental at the office. Groceries and restaurants were minutes away with a car.

You step out of your condo and you're at the beach. The sand is soft, no worries about walking on rocks. The blue of the sky and sea is spectacular.

Most importantly all of the staff were extremely nice and helpful, from management on down. Dominique (manager) always made sure to stop and talk to us whenever she saw us, and housekeeping were so friendly. It was so pleasant to see people smile and sing while working, that says a lot.

Would definitely stay here again. Very laid back and relaxing.
