Lorene did a great job teaching my daughter and son-in-law the basics of diving. On their second dive, they saw an octopus!!! Thanks, Lorene for a job well done.

Thank lairdma

We were fortunate to explore Stingray City with Don Fosters Dive Cayman. With a crew of three, we spent the 45 minute boat ride to Stingray City learning about the area and its history. We then learned why the Stingrays came to this area and then the prerequisite safety speech on how to swim amongst the rays and the "Cayman shuffle."

It was wavy this day and on a previous trip, one of the front ladders snapped and was unusable. No matter, jump right in, the water was fine. For the life of me, we can't remember the names of the crew... One was from Canada, another from South America, and finally a young lady from Texas. They were very accommodating!

Grand Cayman now ranks as one our most favorite places on this planet.. Don Fosters Dive Cayman helped us come to that conclusion! When booking an excursion to Stingray City or anything dive or snorkel related, make sure it's Don Fosters!

We did the Swim with the stingrays excursion from the Disney Fantasy Cruiseship. We had 5, 7, 14, and 16 year old kids with us. The guys from Don Fosters Dive Cayman were great! Steve Steve and Scott took care of all of us and made sure we had a great time! So glad we did this excursion. It is crazy to be that far out in the ocean and stand on a sand bar and have these big sting rays swimming around us!

Thank you for taking the time to write about your time with us. The variety of ages of your family is a great example of how easy the Stingray City Sandbar excursion is. It is truly a once in a lifetime experience and we are happy to have shared that with your family. Don Foster's Dive has been in business on Grand Cayman for over 30 years, and we hope that should you return to our island, that you will come look us up again.

We are glad you enjoyed your night dive with Lindsey. Our house reef is amazing to dive in the day and can be more fun at night, when a whole load of other sea creatures make there way out into the dark waters. Who knows who you may bump into once the sun goes down....We hope that you will come dive with us again.

Booked a "Swim with the Stingrays" excursion with Disney and this is the company that fulfilled that booking. I'm not sure if the information was not complete coming from Disney or this company, but the experience--while not BAD--was not what I was expecting.

The excursion began on time at the port, the drive was fine, and then we went down this alley in a residential area, which was surprising. We were dumped out in a parking lot on a small pier on a channel. There was no shade and it was very hot; no place to get water, use the restroom, etc. Finally, after a long wait, the boat came to pick us up. We were told that they were late because the stingrays weren't too numerous during the morning excursion.

We board and begin the long cruise to the sandbar. The staff was very friendly and informative. Something happened with the boat's engine as we headed out and there was visible worry from the "captain" and he had a few words with the other male staff member. The engine trouble added time to our trip to the sandbar. Once we got there, the water was clear, warm, and the stingrays were numerous. What I didn't expect was the sheer number of other vessels out there from all different types of tour companies. Some very professional and treating the area and the other tourists (and the animals) respectively and then others blaring their loud music and just disrespecting the stingrays completely.

On the trip back there was more engine trouble, which added MORE time to the excursion. The boat then became a party vessel. Loud music, drinking, etc. I didn't mind, I just wasn't expecting it. The photos were pricey with only email copies available.

While my wife enjoyed the trip immensely, I would not do it again. I have to say that IF you are going to do this excursion, make sure you know what you are getting into. Also, this particular company seems to be one of the best in the area, so go with them...just be informed.
