Words simply cannot say enough how much we loved our stay at Mango Bay!! The best, and most beautiful, vacation we have ever had. Our family of 4 stayed in #14 oceanfront two bedroom unit! We truly stepped from our outdoor kitchen onto the beach and into the crystal clear water. I was worried before we arrived that they didn't have a pool but who needs a pool when you have the beautiful sea to swim in. Beach was secluded and provided the perfect serene setting for a magnificent sunset. Gino and his assistant were more than helpful! Resort provided kayaks, air mattresses and snorkeling gear--so you really didn't have to go anywhere to have a great vacation! Daily housekeeping was a great plus.

Room Tip: #14 is the two bedroom beachfront suite!

We have been trying to stay in Virgin Gorda for couple times but always found accomodations very expensive for visiting during high season. This time we visited in July and, after a long search and reading a lot and carefully the Trip Advisory reviews we decided to book Mango Bay. Since the first requests for information, Gino was very clear on what we would get and how they could help. We confirmed in detail all appliances and accessories available at the kitchen. Gino helped us booking the car and we finally chose the beach front apartment and were given unit 14. The apartment is not new and some of the large windows and mosquito nets were partially working properly. However, everything else in the apartment was great. The kitchen of our unit was outside the apartment just by the beach. On the beach you can do kayaking and snorkel. The hotel provides great quality kayaks, masks and fins. Make sure you return everything as prescribed by hotel rules otherwise you will be charged. That is also the reason every equipment is in good shape, including the outdoor grill. The coral reefs and the marine life 30 feet away from the unit is just unbelievable. On top of it, Gino and his assistant will help you with anything you need. There is one exception to this last rule: they won't be able to help you properly lock the unit. You will need to visit them to find out why. The hotel website definitely can't demonstrate the jewel this place is indeed.

Thank you Mango Bay and Gino for a spectacular stay. What a beauty this resort is. Quaint bungalows located on the shore of Mahoe Bay, Virgin Gorda. We enjoyed snorkeling out our back door, dinners on the grande patio of our bungalow and sunsets in the hammock. We kayaked to next door Savannah Bay where we snorkeled with Nurse sharks, Gino was very helpful and a delight to work with. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect!

Mango Bay was everything we needed to make our vacation an amazing experience! First, the views are superb and the water was INCREDIBLE! Crystal clear and so lovely in which to float, snorkel and swim.

Second, if you are in need of a peaceful and serene vacation spot, then Mango Bay is perfect for that purpose. We sat on our veranda each night and marveled at the beauty of our surroundings with only the sound of the rushing waves to lull us into state of complete contentment.

Finally, our beachfront villa was simple but perfect for our needs. Our space was comfortable and being able to walk right out our front door and onto the beach was a vacation dream come true. My only recommendation is that all food items be kept in the refrigerator to avoid the tiny ants the seem to find their way into anything left on the counter, even a closed container of powdered coffee creamer.

The resort staff were friendly, helpful and professional. From Gino to the wonderful ladies who cleaned the villa each day, the people who work at Mango Bay make every

guest feel special.

Speaking of Gino, you could not find a better resource for places to go and things to do. We found his recommendations spot on!

We just spent a week at Mango Bay Resort and overall, loved it! There are a few crucial things the resort could do that would take it to the next level. The week before our arrival had heavy rains and as a result, the mosquitos were HORRIBLE!! Inside and out. The resort provided no repellent, mosquito rackets or citronella coils to combat them with. We bought our own repellent and coils but when we asked for a racket all they gave us was a fan. Perhaps fogging the foliage would help. The only AC was in the bedroom and it was pretty hot as well. One the positive side, it is a beautiful resort and very private, quiet and peaceful. The snorkeling on the shallow reef at the breakwater was amazing!! The price for what was included in our package was very reasonable: car rental, in-room massage for two and dinner at The Rock Cafe. All in all, it was a great vacation and we LOVE Virgin Gorda - just wish there would have been something that could have been done about the mosquitos - they tormented us and we live in St. Thomas so we are used to tropical bugs.

Room Tip: Garden room still has a beach view

Dear Marcia,
Thank you for your comments. It is true we had rains in 2 days that make up for a whole month of rain so the amount of mosquitoes in the entire island was multiplied several times. I am sorry they bothered you so much. We do spray the grounds but very cautiously as we do not want to poison the ocean as it has happened in many other islands.
Hopefully it will be a little dryer next time. If you would have asked me, I would have gladly provided something to mitigate the discomfort. I was unaware of your request for a racket.
All the best,
Gino Russo
