We recently stayed at the Divi Little Bay Resort and though the main restaurant and pool are still under construction from the hurricane damage the staff was amazing, helpful and kind.

Alexander is not only a bellman for the resort but he gives guided tours of the entire island and serves the best pina colladas I have every had in my life. He was professional and took us to see things we would have never seen otherwise. We got great shopping deals because of him and found all of the best places to eat in each city. I highly recommend his tour.

It was my wife's birthday and Wendy who worked in the pool bar restaurant played happy birthday on the sound system and brought her a free dessert. Wendy was kind and always took care of us.

Room tip: stay in the rooms facing the port as you get to watch the cruise ships come in

We spent a week at Divi Little Bay in November 2018. Check in was wonderful and the accommodations were very nice. We had a balcony overlooking the bay that we enjoyed every morning and evening. They have recovered very well since the 2017 hurricane.

I had never had a massage on the beach before, but Vanise and Denise did a fabulous job and my friend and I had massages 2 different days. They were very professional and reasonably priced. We also had a wonderful tour of the Island by Alexander. He also works at the resort and provides tours when he is not working. He has a complete bar in the back of his van that even includes a blender. He makes great drinks for you to enjoy at several of the sights. We especially enjoyed feeding the iguanas and the lunch on the French side of the Island. If you go to this resort- seek out Alexander and Venise & Denise!!

The only disappointing experience at this resort was the service at Gismos Bar &Grill. The staff is not very attentive and poorly trained. How can a bartender, working the early shift, not know how to make a Bloody Mary?? Also one afternoon we ordered a Margarita Pizza and received a Cheese pizza. When we questioned it, they ignored the concern. Lisa, the supervisor happen to arrive and we asked her about it and she tried to say that is how it was supposed to be, but the menu says it comes with tomatoes and basil. She then offered us a free drink, but never brought it to us!! We waited for over 20 minutes and Lisa and the bartender both stayed on the other side of the bar and ignored the 4 of us until we left! This would not normally have been a problem, but this is the only restaurant open in the evenings!! Other food there was good but long waits because of the poor service.

We did leave the resort 2 evenings for dinner and a tour, but it cost at least $6 per person each way to go anywhere! No negotiations. So it cost us $48 plus tip to go anywhere off the resort. We felt that is expensive when you add it to the cost of a dinner

Great experience at this resort, except for the limited choices for eating. (One restaurant opened for breakfast and lunch and the other opened for lunch and dinner.).

This is a very nice resort. In between the Philipsburg Bay and Little Bay, you are surrounded by water so every room is perfect! The staff are very kind. There are things to do at the resort- seadoos, snorkeling, pools, restaurants. I would highly encourage you to not spend all your time at the resort but they do make it comfortable to stay in.

The property has been redone since Irma & is nice. Rooms are large but several maintenance issues, little things but irritating. Reception needs work as staff aren’t very polite & couldn’t find the reservation though the reg card was pre-printed. Sophia at concierge very helpful. Food & service good at both outlets. The fine dining has not reopened, which is not posted on the website. Experienced a strong storm that no one was prepared for. The doors to the balcony leak badly & ended up with several mm’s of rainwater on the floor halfway into the room. Tried to call for more towels but no answer. Would suggest hat they caulk to two outside doors closed & only allow the two inside to Oprah.

So impressed by all the wonderful people on our resort and the island. Also very humbling to see the distruction of the hurricane from pictures in 2017 and where they are today. They have a ways to go but will get there... SXM Strong.
Our bellman / tour guide Alexander "The Great" made our trip! He started out simply by taking our very heavy luggage up several flights of stairs then to find out he could take us all over the island in his private van equipped with a blender for some fun drinks! He was very professional and willing to accomodate our needs. Highly recommend this tour with him. Highly suggest eating at Pineapple Pete's in Simpsons Bay. Amazing Lobster Thermidor!
The resort was beautiful.... the inifinity pool was our favorite spot and very close to our rooms which were in building F. Great views of the Caribbean sea and the resort.
There were some items still needing addressed but I'm sure they will get there. I would definitely go back to this resort and to the friendly people of St. Maarten. A vacation to remember :)

Room tip: Room 431 in Building F. Very spacious for a 1 bedroom and wonderful views of the Bay and resort.
