Great place for an all inclusive day on the beach.

Review of Anse Chastanet
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 5 Nov 2024via mobile
We visited for the day - and we paid the all inclusive £140 dollars for a nice little spot on the beach and this meant we ate twice and drank all we wanted - incredible value. The beach is stunning and the sunset from the pier with the views are not to be missed.

This destination is a great place to visit if you like the natural side of St. Lucia. We stayed at Anse Chastanet instead of Jade Mountain. The resort resembles tree houses. We did the Anse Mamim Plantation walk; Gros Piton, snorkeling at the base of Gros Piton and visited the volcano, mud bath, Botanical Gardens and mineral springs waters. The people are very friendly and the food was delicious. You have to be in great shape at Anse Chastanet, there are 126 steps from the beach level up to the restaurant, it’s a great workout or you can take the taxi up. The veal chop was the best dish. Veal is hard to find in Georgia. The PEPPERMINT TEA with HONEY is the best I have ever tasted. Their honey is not heavy and taste different. We loved it so much, we asked for some bags of tea to go. We paid for a small jar of honey. Anse Chastanet needs to package that tea and honey and sell it.

Anse Chastanet was the perfect place for us to spend the second half of our honeymoon! The resort is ideally located for a mix of fun activities and relaxation. Some of the best snorkeling we’ve experienced right off the beach just steps away from our room. The service from the staff was excellent, as everyone went above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying our stay and had everything we needed. In particular, Kerwin & Thaddeus (sailboat captains), Francis (kayak guide) and the whole reception team were AWESOME!

The food was awesome in general, with plenty of variety and great daily specials at the Balawoo restaurant. Our particularly memorable meals at the resort were the butter chicken at Apsara, the gourmet burger at Anse Mamin beach (great after hiking the pitons!) and the Caribbean jump up buffet at the main beach restaurant.

Lovely location, incredible views. The service is freindly, everyone neat and infromed eager to help and the place is kept spotless. Great snorkling onsite, they have diving as well in crystal clear water. The food onsite is top quality, you can get a beer for 5$. Loved our suite. No A/C but plenty of fans we didn't miss it. Recommend!

Room tip: The ride from the airport is an hour so use their car service, the drivers are nice with nice cars with AC.

Booked a day pass at the resort here as we were staying in the southern part of the island without a beach. The day pass did not disappoint- we were able to have two chairs and a straw hut, food and drinks, with restroom access. Beach was awesome- clear warm water and areas for snorkeling. Food and drinks were great and came right to our beach chairs. Sylvia took care of us on the beach and was amazing!!! The rest of the beach team was great too- checking in if we needed anything! Thanks for the great hospitality on our last beach day Sylvia!!!

Room tip: Towels provided when renting beach chairs.

This is truly a special place. From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of and relaxed.
The hotel is set beautifully in the mountainside. The surroundings are lush and serene. The views are spectacular. We loved relaxing on the beach, swimming and snorkeling in the ocean and we took a lovely sunset sail.
The staff are so friendly and attentive. The restaurant staff, beach staff, spa and everyone in between went out of their way to make our stay even more special.
The food at the restaurants are delicious and well thought out. The menu changes nightly at the Treehouse. Highly recommend the burger at jungle beach bar and grill.
Our room was spacious and furnished nicely. We appreciated the larger outdoor area. I was a little hesitant to stay here because most rooms do not have air conditioning. However, we found the room to be cool enough at night.
We had dinner at the Jade Mountain club one evening. The views up there are spectacular. And the food was excellent.
I would highly recommend this hotel. There is a lot of walking, but you can call to request a shuttle pickup.
