“We never wanted to leave”
Reviewed 29 January 2013 for a stay in January 2013

We had a wonderful time at La Toc and can't speak too highly of Ian and Joan. There is little point in repeating all the good things other reviewers have said, we endorse them all. We enjoyed the boat trip with Son of Man Tours that is recommended in the villa book, although it now seems to be run by Julian tours and the man on the Sandals beach is Cornelius. Just make sure you know how you will get to the boat and back if the sea is too rough to be picked up from Sandals beach, if that is the case it's probably best to drive down to Castries and park in the multistorey.

We recommend the Windsong restaurant in the Calabash resort, good food, exemplary service and fabulous views. We turned up on spec and got a good table but it's probably best to book. Joan can direct you. Also try the Pink Plantation for lunch - turn right on the main road, right again at the T junction then left. Spinnakers on Reduit Beach at Rodney Bay is good as is Chateau Mygo at Marigot Bay.

Mamiku Gardens, just south of Dennery, is worth a visit and offers resonably priced snacks and other refreshments. It's well signposted from the main road. Take a good road map of the island, road signs are infrequent. A 4x4 would be useful although we managed with a Kia Picanto.

As the villa is laid out with a master suite on the first floor and the other bedrooms on the ground floor it would be well suited to two families. Because there are a large number of steps the disabled might find it less than ideal and parents of toddlers or small children should be aware that the pool is deep at the steps end.

“Heaven On Earth!”
Reviewed 21 January 2013 for a stay in December 2012

We stayed at Ian's Villa in December for our honeymoon and it was exactly how it was advertised. Having traveled to the Bahamas and the Cayman Islands, this island is much more beautiful. And add Ian's villa to it made it perfect. The villa was private and very clean. The walk to the beach was close, even though the pool was enough for us. The view was breathtaking. Castries was a few minute drive if you need to get anything or go out to eat. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back again!

“La Toc is a picturesque home away from home”
Reviewed 20 January 2013 for a stay in December 2012

La Toc is a beautiful house with very friendly support system. Joan, whom looks after the house, is very attentive and the house is well looked after. The house has a great location and the pool is a perfect match to the home for those who want to wake up and take in some sun whilst others sleep or eat breakfast.
We took a family vacation over Christmas and we throughly enjoyed our stay. St. Lucia is paradise and the home is the perfect spot for a group of people who want to avoid a resort or a fussy hotel.

“IDYLLIC VACATION”
Reviewed 4 December 2012 for a stay in November 2012

Just returned to freezing England after spending a superb week in Villa La Toc,St Lucia. We would strongly recomend this destination to anyone looking for total relaxation - fabulous climate and a villa with the WOW factor.Villa La Toc has been built to the highest standards - it is contemporary - spacious, clean and secure. The beach is only a five minute walk away - that's if you can drag yourself away from the incredible views from the verandas at the villa. This villa has everything you could wish for.The local store SuperJays stocks all your essentials and in the unlikely event you may feel homesick Waitrose products feature among the shelves, there's also a wide range of excellent restaurants to enjoy - the local market is a must - the freshest of fish, spices, fruit and vegatables. We barbecued one evening and the New York strip steak was a real hit. There are plenty of activities available if you wish,we hired a yacht and sailed to the Pitons taking on fabulous views, swimming and snorkeling, sampling the local rum punch then to round it all off - watched the sunset before being taken back onshore to dry land. The owner Ian Howe and manager Joan Paul are both extremely professional and helpful ensuring that your holiday will be a total success. We both had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return to Villa La Toc, it was a total wrench having to leave such a beautiful villa with its breathtaking views. The only thing left is to return.

“A fantastic place for a family holiday!”
Reviewed 25 November 2012 for a stay in November 2012

We stayed at La Toc Villa for our honeymoon travelling with our 18month old son. We decided to go with a rental rather than an all inc due to having our son with us and not getting our "monies worth" with evenings going to have to be spent in the hotel room when he was asleep - a great choice. Being a lot cheaper than an all inc we managed to have lovely lunch's all over the island and then in the evenings our son went to sleep and we had bbq's and g&t's watching the sunset.
From first contact with the Villa Ian (owner) and Joan (house keeper) couldnt be more helpful and easy to deal with. They answered all our questions and helped with car hire, helicopter, arrival food, baby sitting etc etc.
Where the villa is based you would really need a car rental to get to any shops or lots of money spent on taxis. It is only a 10min drive to the town centre and supermarkets. we then used the car to travel to beaches and hotels around the island.
The Villa is just gorgeous in every way. the design and high spec is throughout and with every amenity you could need. it gave us great space and a wonderful place to spend our (family) honeymoon!
We have already reccommended La Toc Villa to many friends with children and wouldnt have a bad word to mention about our stay at all!
