Long story short, the food is good but the views are amazing. What you need to do is find out what time the sun is setting that evening and arrive at least 1hr earlier so you can get one of the seats at the very front in the bar area. Kick back and enjoy some amazingly delicious cocktails and bar snacks and just soak in the view. After the sun is set enjoy the delicious dinner and you've just had a perfect evening in St Lucia.

Came here from suggestions from a friend who comes to St Lucia quite often. She recommended coming before sunset to enjoy the view. We got there about 30 minutes before sunset and ordered a bottle of wine. This was perfect as we had a couple of glasses and relaxed before heading upstairs for dinner. By the time we had dinner it was quite dark but it is still fabulous to see the ocean.
We ordered the lobster pasta (so much lobster!) and the fish--service was a little slow but we were on vacation so it was easy to relax and enjoy!

One of the best meals we had, highly recommend going!

I stayed at Ladera Resort and was lucky enough to have Dasheene as our restaurant for our stay. I wrote a review for Ladera but Dasheene was so incredible it deserves it's own review.

This has got to be the best view I have ever experienced from a restaurant. I went in October but was told from Nov-Jan the sun sets between the pitons. Regardless the sunsets were unreal (see the pics)

The breakfast was solid but lunch and dinner were the standouts. We met Chef Nigel on a few occasions and he was such as nice guy and chatted with us for a bit. Most dishes have a Creole influence and the Shrimp Dasheene (Chef's creation) is unique and a standout.

The Island Mixed Grill and Surf & Turf made me salivate, and the Lobster Thermidor special was hands down the best Lobster dish I have ever eaten in my life.
They also make a dish with shrimp and scallops on top of puff pastry with the thermidor sauce that wasn't on the menu the last night but Chef Nigel came through for us! ;)

He makes a delicious herb oil mainly used for dipping bread, but you can put this stuff on ANYTHING. We brought two bottles home we couldn't get enough. All of the breads they offer were delicious & fresh. Our favorite was the cajun crisps!!!

The service couldnt be better, Isha, Cynthina, and especially Leah :) took great care of us during our stay. Dasheen is certainly pricey but WELLL worth it. Make sure you go before sunset so you get the full experience and enjoy a few cocktails while you watch the sun go down.

If you are visiting St Lucia this is an ABSOLUTE MUST!!!!!!!!!!

We hope to be back someday!!

Definitely try the fresh banana bread. But honestly, EVERYTHING was outstanding! We loved the fresh juices at breakfast. The fish was all very fresh. They have unique dishes at dinner, things we'd never had before. Everything was perfection.

The views are unreal here. We decided to venture off our resort (sugar bay viceroy) taking the short drive in a taxi for dinner. I’m so glad we did the fresh catch was Barracuda! The dish was very fulfilling and flavorful. Did i mention the views are amazing, and the live band set the tone for a very enjoyable evening.
