CLUB AMBIANCE ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT, RUNAWAY, SAINT ANN, JAMAICA- NOT A PLACE FOR ANYONE TO STAY: OUT OF TOUCH.

This resort used false advertisement to get people in.
The place is very clean, the pool area was well kept, The staff was friendly- but that's about it.
There are only the buffet areas, no other restaurant as advertised.
The gym has only broken equipment's, no Spa and no massage was available.
The severs had little or no training, but they were pleasant.
The buffet was serve with broken utensils, napkins are old and thread hanging everywhere, the food was sometimes cold, and only a few dishes to choose from, also only 3 deserts to choose from which was old and hard..
The reception coaches had torn cushions.
The bedroom where I was had a torn down bed skirt, the mattress was old and had a dip in the middle-hard as rock, the closet had a piece of wire tie to the lock to assist in opening it. The door safety chain had been more several times and all the previous holes was still there.

Bathroom sink was leaking, every-time I used it my feet got wet, which was reported several times and no came to repair it, the door had a piece broken out and the side panels was flapping. Towels were clean but was old and coarse, bath side towel had black soil spots.

I know this hotel was built back in the 1960's. The potential is there for a great resort, but it seemed that management only want to catch unsuspected visitor with false advertisement while the place fall in disrepair.
It is very disheartening, because after you are there, it is too late to get a refund. I paid for a resort and got a rundown hostel.

We have just perused the Review of REFINA L and regret the contents suggest an unfavorable stay, and we are mindful that challenges encountered by anyone on a vacation from home, most likely will result in a bad experience.
We have taken note of each concern outlined, done our extensive internal investigations, shared the Review with our management Team and would like to advise, that some observations expressed by REFINA L ,may have been misunderstood without on property interaction with our Management Team.
We are very keen and still motivated and enthused to continue to demonstrate our commitment to guests' satisfaction and their comfort and never practice deceitful or unconventional means to attract guests to the hotel.
We thank REFINA L for the kind accolades mentioned about certain aspects of the hotel and also the staff ,which we shared with them.

There are so many things wrong with Club Ambiance. I’ll focus on the false advertisement and lies posted on their website. There was only one dining room/restaurant. The food selection was poor, no variety at breakfast and lunch. Dinner had only one good entree. Some of the food was inedible. For an All Inclusive Resort, very little food was offered, and only at limited times. We shouldn’t be hungry on vacation and we were. There was only ONE bar, not multiple as listed. The selections of drinks were minimal, no cocktail list, very few mixers.
Although most of the staff were great, or at least very friendly, most are inexperienced or don’t seem concerned with guest satisfaction at all, including supervisors. Nobody is in charge of guest satisfaction.
NONE of the resort or water activities listed were available. Not one! The “designated swimming area” had floating garbage in it. An activities board listed activities that never happened. No staff member organizing or offering them to guests. The resort was a ghost town. Maybe a total of 20 guests max, during our three night stay.
We had to wait two hours for beach towels because they ran out. No apologies, and we had to keep asking for them. And they were stained also. There are no hammocks at all, which is pictured on the website. A staff member told us they were ripped and that management had not ordered new ones. Apparently it had been two weeks since the hammocks had been up. It was also two weeks since the jacuzzi had been working. It was also two weeks since the WiFi had been working. “Two weeks” was always the answer from staff. I don’t believe that at all. Every day we inquired about the WiFi. The answer was always the same, “it will be fixed tomorrow”.
No hot water in the shower, twice. The second time was the morning of our departure. It was not resolved in time before our check out.
Lastly, the common areas on the property and furnishings were very old and outdated. It felt like you were in another decade.
It should not be advertised as an adults only all inclusive resort. There is no nightlife or entertainment. There was a band one night only. Only staff around after 11pm is Security and front desk. At best, it was a beachfront motel with “food and drink included” but not plentiful.
The very small beach cove had a beautiful view and there were enough beach chairs for the handful of people there. Thanks to Raquel, J and Sean who helped us get through those few days.
This was our second time in Jamaica. It’s a beautiful country and its people are wonderful. DO NOT come to this “resort”. Our vacation was ruined.

We acknowledge the review of MVV2018 on their recent vacation and extend our profound and sincere regrets that they conclude it was ruined. This Review showed a pattern of challenges and unforeseen disappointments ,expressed almost very similar to a few others publicized within days of each other. While we differ with several of the comments and take issue with some of the contents, a Meeting with all staff and Managers, agreed unanimously to use the Review to include in our guests problems solution strategies and not to take same personally. Our findings over this particular period indicate some, we repeat some, discomfort experienced by MVV2018,and we accept that they have a right to share this. However there is a reciprocal expectation that considered statements about one's vacation, should complement reports to Management while at the resort. This writer's Office is immediately on entrance to the Lobby with more than an open door policy and to infer ' nobody is charge of guest satisfaction ' ,gives the wrong impression and is an extreme comment and unfortunate. Our hope is that Reviews of this nature does not pre-empt future guests anticipations and further inflame tensions. We are very relieved the reaffirmation that Jamaica is a beautiful country and its people are wonderful as mentioned by MVV2018,gives us hope that they will return to the island ,and their next vacation ,if not with us,will not be ruined.

If your thinking of booking at this resort... DON’T. Upon arrival to the resort mind you it was late in the evening but the guy at the front desk was not friendly, he gave us the wrong room, which when looking at the room we found a hole in the wall where the air conditioner was and you could see outside needless to say we were moved the following morning. The description of this resort is false information. There is only one bar and one restaurant and it’s buffet where there was minimal food. Good thing there was hardly any guests or I would say we would have been very hungry. There are some nice staff: Deleon, Dwayne and Lennox but besides that you were lucky to even get a smile. The entertainment staff is terrible one young lady did Nothing but sit on her phone. Throughout the 7 days we had one evening with a band. They run out of liquor constantly. Bring your own snacks, their idea of a late night snack is cheese sandwiches and if your lucky soup. This resort is run down and needs extensive renovations along with a lot of new staff. If it was ran correctly it would be a beautiful resort. Ow and we had no WIFI for the week with only promises that it was being fixed. Do not go by the description of this resort as it is false information. This was our 7th trip to Jamaica in 10 years and the worst trip so far. We met some great people on our trip but unfortunately that’s not what we paid for.

We acknowledge the Review by collins94 which seemingly mirrors 2 other recent posted ones. We have had a general staff Meeting recently,where in details, senior Management including this writer, highlighted the observations and comments therein. Every single anomaly hinted was discussed without assumed bias or prejudice, and, on property best practices and standard operating procedures were reinforced. There are some elements of the Review we respectfully disagree with,however though as well, we value the opportunity to address the aforementioned concerns.

Nothing that was promised in their add was true. It said it had 3 resaurants and a snack bar, it only had 1 resaurant (same food daily) it claimed it had 4 bars, it had one, that regularly ran out of alcohol. It claimed live nightly entertainment, not even once. It claimed uniformed security officers...none. no spa, the gym had one treadmill that worked, wifi broke down, no big screen tv, hot tub was out of order (and had been for quite some time according to the staff) and on Friday morning, we were robbed, in our room (on the second floor) while we slept. the resort can hold 180 people, there were 20 of us there in total. The one good thing it did have was wonderful staff, however, we will never go back

Room Tip: we were on the second floor, and a burglar still managed to get into our room, so I'm not sure that there is a good room on this resort

This Review by shar11232018 has accelerated our urgency to liaise with our partners who over the years has professionally and successfully supported, represented and promoted Club Ambiance Resort in a factual manner. The enunciations suggest otherwise and we are trying to ascertain where the errors intimated by shar1122018 were observed,as false advertisements is not a mechanism we engage in and without hesitation we do not condone or agree with. It is regretted these treasured guests experienced challenges during their stay with us,as that is not the objective or intentions of the hotel. We take solace of the compliments for the staff and express the desire for consideration of a return visit to enable the opportunity to make that visit more pleasant and memorable.

not at all what was advertised will never go back ,same food everyday bar run out of drinks staff was good except the one trying to sell you drugs everyday not my kind of place......... one room was broken into while the people was sleeping lost there cell phone and was told their insurance would pay for a new one. the place is run down would not go back even if it was free..............

We have taken note of the comments of pettyrodney5 and immediately investigated the concerns to ascertain the extent of same. It proved difficult to analyze the statement " not at all what was advertised" ,as there are no specifics and elaborations to give an informed response. For several months, there have been no Reviews describing the hotel offering same food everyday ,as our menu choices give varied options. The bar running out of drinks and not describing the types of drinks, brands inter-alia ,makes it impossible for us to address. Miscellaneous beverages supplies are consistent and constant and if guests requests are not immediate, the reasoning is at that time, a particular Bar item needs replenishing and this is done always expeditiously. We are appalled at the position of a staff selling drugs as we are a drug free hotel, and regret this was not brought to the attention of Managers if this was indeed happening. Any untoward incident real or apparent ,by hear say or from uninformed sources, is not brought to the fore by us, in the public domain on Tripadvisor Reviews or other media.
