We travelled with another couple and stayed one night, one couple got a room with a bathroom (separated from the room by a curtain for 7000 J.D) and we got room 3 with access to a common shower for 6000 jamaican dollars after a hard bargaining.
The view from the rooms was beautifull. Sitting on the porch was a historic experience.
BUT there were no screens on the windows and even if we closed them, the mosquitos came in through the openings over the door. The openings might be there to allow the air to circulate, but I got most of my mosquito bites that night AND we could her everything happing in the other rooms on the same floor.
The other room was falling part, the light bulbs could be replaced, but the bathroom was not funtional and there was no warm water. the drain in the sink was clogged, the water in the toilet didnt fill up, the door to the closet didnt open and so on.
The hotel is very quaint, but is really in need of refurbishment.More
