We stayed at alot of Sandals and this was by far our best experience yet!! We really have never been disappointed with Sandals resorts but Sandals Negril has the best beach in Jamaica as well as we had a butler service Kenrick and Jerry were fantastic always one step ahead of us. Just knowing what we need at the right time.

The food and service was fantastic at all the restaurants we went to. We were never disappointed.

We stayed on the upper level of the swim up suites and they were fantastic in the early evening on our balcony we had the most beautiful view of sunset.

It was a fantastic vacation can't wait to go back.

My husband and I visited Sandals Negril early April, 2010. We hadn't had a real vacation since 1998. We were definitely ready for a get-away. After researching sites such as Trip Advisor and talking to friends we decided on a Sandals resort. Sandals Negril in particular due to the privacy of the Romeo and Juliet suites with Private Plunge Pool.

I'm not even going to comment on customs and the ride to the resort. it is what it is. Lines are long and unless you stay in Montego Bay, no matter the resort, it is a haul. Your destination more than makes up for it. I will say the Sandals lounge at the airport was very welcoming with clean restrooms and complimentary drinks. I didn't touch my suitcase again until after we arrived in our suite at Sandals.

We arrived at Sandals Negril around 5pm. We waited no time before our Butler arrived and led us to our room. As mentioned before we booked a Romeo and Juliet suite. We were told by our butler that Sandals had upgraded us to a Swim-Up River Suite. As great as the swim-up suites are we really wanted the privacy of the RJ suite and private pool. In a nutshell, we spent one night in a river suite and then while we lounged on the beach the next day, our butler moved our things into the RJ suite and that was that. We loved it and loved the amenities with the suite. However, now that we have had a taste of the swim-up suites, the next time we'll try those.

Now for the butler service. Save your pennies and book a butler suite. We felt pampered the entire stay. Sean and Tavia were excellent! We had breakfast served on our patio. Drinks and lunch brought to us on the beach. A cooler full of beverages alongside our beach chairs every day. Our dinner tables in the restaurants set up and decorated just for us by our butlers. One night we received white glove service while dining on our patio next to the pool. Sean met us as we finished snorkeling, with a tray of drinks and he returned our flippers to the dive shop so we could go straight to our beach chairs. I scheduled a pedicure in the Red Lane Spa and while I was receiving that service, Tavia showed up out of the blue to check on me and bring me a drink. A bath was drawn for us one night, with candles and flowers as well as champagne and dessert set out for us on our last night, with candles setting the mood. When you are used to working and taking care of kids, sometimes it is nice to get away and be taken care of. Tavia and Sean did just that. When we return we'll be asking for the dynamic duo again.

All the food was excellent. From room service to the restaurants to the beach grill. Wayne at Kimono's was so entertaining and Chrane and his partner in crime made a great lunch so enjoyable. Try the grilled cheese with jerk chicken. Chrane, you're such a flirt. Drinks and food were plentiful. No complaints whatsoever. We walked away from every meal full and content.

The resort itself was so clean and we never felt crowded. I had read many reviews before our trip and found people upset because of butlers reserving chairs on the beach. During our stay I made it a point of watching for chairs with shade. I never saw a problem with finding chairs with shade. At least not on the side of the beach we stayed (closest to the water sports) They were even erecting new shade huts while we were there.

Speaking of water sports. We went snorkeling for the first time and can't wait to return. Mackey and Toby were great. Knowledgable and entertaining. Mackey, this is for you "...beep, beep, beep....boat backing up, boat backing up..."Love the flare-hair. O.G. (O'Ganna) took us out on a Hobie Cat. Water was a little rough so he was happy to join us. We didn't feel comfortable going out on our own.

Entertainment was great and plentiful. You could join in as much or as little as you want. I'm sure Dewayne (Playmakers) remembers me at karaoke in the piano bar. Our favorite entertainment for the week....Monday night's beach party and the steel drum band/dancers on Thursday night. You receive a paper daily with a schedule of events. At the beach party the General Manager, Horace(you should hear his rendition of "Big Bamboo")introduced heads of staff. It was great to know who to go to for concerns or praise.

Yes, there were several "vendors" on the beach daily. I didn't feel pestered. Actually felt as if it was part of the experience. Security was always on their heels and we felt safe. With seven miles of beach I'm not quite sure how Sandals could keep down the traffic. You can walk the entire beach, in front of all the resorts. Security was on top of it.

All told, we had an amazing vacation. Do we want to try other Sandals in other locations? Yes. Will we return to Sandals Negril? DEFINITELY!!!!

We stayed at Sandals Negril during Easter holiday and had a fantastic experience.
Out of three resorts during our time in Jamaica, Sandals was by far the best!
The welcome paperwork was kept minimal and accompanied by wonderful rum punch before we were taken personally for a brief tour and narrated introduction to the resort en route to our room.
Although on a budget, we were provided with a comfortable, well decorated room with a massive plantation style four poster bed.
All drinks in the mini bar were free and restocked daily!
There was a constant ethic towards providing personalised service, our maid introduced herself personally and bell boy had a wonderful sense of humour - everyone had a genuine interest and willingness to assist.
It was obviously very important that no matter how much we paid to stay, we were equally as welcomed as everybody else.

The pool is amazing, with a swim-up bar and volleyball provided by an entertainment team.
The view from the hotel is just mind-blowing, just the way you imagine heaven would be like!
A variety of water-sports are included and are of excellent quality. We went on the snorkelling trip (highly recommended) and were given all of the best support and treatment by Captain Michael Jackson (no relation!) and the team, who were all brilliant and again, very entertaining!

There is a great choice of restaurants - An Italian, Teppanyaki, Caribbean and World-Cuisine which makes for fantastic variety and amazing quality, a welcome break from the all-buffet style all-inclusive resorts. Keithia provided us with excellent service and made such an effort to ensure that our drinks were regularly refilled and that we were contented.

We found breakfast offered a truly fantastic range of both cold and cooked items, including meats and smoked salmon with capers, which we most enjoyed.
It was always easy to find lunch in the Bay View restaurant or Beach Grill of course serving the usual suspects, Burgers, Southern Fried Chicken but also some local options and fish alternatives. One of the guys here called "Crane" is a fantastic entertainer and keeps the mood very lively by engaging with everybody, providing an excellent background for a moment away from the beach before another cocktail - if you can remember, ask where the "Mongrel" is and he will likely laugh his head off.

We were most impressed with the way the staff are so noticeably treated respectfully, rewarded by the management and are given time to celebrate success, which creates such an amazing team driven environment. We were lucky enough to be at the resort for an award ceremony and whilst we were in the pool heard the most beautiful vocal talent singing the Jamaican national anthem which sounded like the voice of an angel!
Horace, the general manager makes himself available, always gets involved, makes guests a priority and is very friendly and courteous - he is, in my opinion, such a great asset to Sandals.

All of this creates a resort which we would highly recommend to others and definitely worth spending that bit extra to get an unforgettable experience with world class service, an amazing setting and romantic atmosphere for couples wanting to spend time in paradise.

From the moment you arrive, to the moment you never want to leave, you will have a smile of your face and a drink in your hand...
It is definitely worth spending to get the holiday of a lifetime with all the extras included and not having to worry about paying anything more or getting bored.
Seriously - If you are looking to visit Jamaica, you will NEVER regret going to Sandals Negril but please, you will definitely regret NOT staying here!

The ride from the airport started out ok but 15 minutes into the trip the driver had to turn around and go back to the airport and pick up more travelers who were not staying @ Sandals (I thought Sandals provided the transportation) this added another 30 minutes to a 90 minute head-ache inducing trip. Upon arriving, we were shown to our room which was small to say the least and very antiquated. The staff at Sandals were accommodating and very pleasant, couldn't have been nicer. Two problems: reserved seating at the beach, if you have butler service, finding seats isn't a problem but for the rest of us, you had to go out to the beach before 7am in order to find a decent place to sit, the second and most disturbing problem was the amount of drug dealers allowed to sell "weed" in the resort. The dealers are escorted down the beaches of the resort by Sandals security guards and it would appear they are allowed to sell their drugs to whomever they could con into buying them. I was extremely disappointed in Sandals for this. We paid a lot of money for this vacation, I didn't appreciate drugs being sold all around me.

This was our first trip to the Caribbean and after this trip we hope it won't be our last. We were travelling with a group of 43, to attend our niece's wedding. We were met at the airport by the Staff of Sandals Negril, who had a reception for us, with beer and wine. From there we were taken by shuttle to the Sandals resort where we we were again met by the Staff, taken to a reception room, where we were again served refreshments and informed about our rooms, etc. We were then taken on a tour of the Resort and then to our rooms. We were one of the guests that had their room upgraded and we were more then pleased. Our stay was for 7 days and we couldn't be more pleased. We were travelling with our son and daughter and the whole stay at Sandals Negril was great. The food, bar, water activities, rooms and Staff were great. A few staff that really impressed us were; Lacia, Qudiea, Crane, Mikie, Macky, and Toby.
