We did not actually stay in the hotel. We were welcomed to the property when the pool at our resort (Rock House) was closed due to Hurricane Tomas. We came up two days in a row and enjoyed the pool and the sea. We ate lunch both days and it was wonderful. The bartenders were a hoot, and the drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. Since we had such good days at Moon Dance, we decided to try dinner there as well. The dinner was excellent! The prices were reasonable and the ambiance was the best. All of the servers were very attentive; so much so that we came back again the last night of our trip. The staff was so happy that we came back that we got a solo table out on the cliffs and a free drink for each of us. It looks like a fantastic place to stay and would be great for people that might not enjoy some of the more "primitive" places in Negril. Very high class! Thanks to everyone at Moon Dance!

I recently returned from having my wedding ceremony at Moon Dance Cliffs and it was absolutely perfect! Although the ceremony was originally meant to be held at the Rockhouse, the weather was not cooperating therefore the ceremony was moved down the street to Moon Dance. The staff and grounds were incredible and I would not have changed a thing. Everyone was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our special day went as smoothly as possible. The staff was even kind enough to paint the aisle with a fresh coat of white just hours before the ceremony began. The ocean view was gorgeous and the sunset was a perfect backdrop for the wedding. We loved the resort so much that my husband and I ended up staying a couple extra nights after the wedding. The accommodations are extremely spacious and all offer amazing ocean views. Of course, my favorite part of the room was the outdoor Jacuzzi! The pool is also beautiful and definitely one of the best in Negril. Many of our wedding guests actually decided to return to Moon Dance’s pool after the wedding day to take advantage of the swim up bar! I highly recommend the “No Problem” cocktail…a specialty by Ralston! There is also the option of snorkeling off the ocean cliff…however the water was a little too choppy for this during our stay there because of storm Tomas. We only ate at the restaurant once but the food was delicious (I had the snapper sliders and my husband had the jerk chicken). Oh – and I can’t forget to mention the massage at the spa – amazing!!! I really can’t say enough about how wonderful Moon Dance Cliffs and the staff are. Everyone, including the manager Matthew, knew our names and made our experience there an unforgettable one. I can’t wait to return – hopefully someday soon!

We were a group of 4 girls getting together for a Girls Getaway Weekend (GGW). We travelled up from Kingston by car post Tropical Storm Nicole which had ravaged the Island, leaving many roads in a deplorable condition. En route to Moon Dance we contacted the hotel to notify reception of our delay, partially due to a flat tyre. Richard and Rohan were so welcoming and chatty on the phone - you would have thought we were long lost friends. When we finally arrived after 7 hours on the long and rocky road from Kingston, we had dinner in the sports bar. The Chef delivered a home cooked style meal (I had the grilled fish with local vegetables) which was very tasty. Breakfast the next day was a bit disappointing as the omelettes were a tad greasy and the other girls didn't quite get what they ordered. Saying this, Tamara was extremely apologetic and did her best to rectify the situation. The hotel is lovely, we had a suite consisting of two rooms with a connecting door. The rooms were very spacious and well appointed. One design flaw was the absence of vents in the bathroom which did make the room a bit musty. There are only 32 rooms in the hotel so it feels intimate but spacious and the staff are very personable so you really feel at home. The wet bar was a nice feature and Richard and Ralston were a great double act as the singing/dancing bartenders. The location of the hotel has it's advantages and disadvantages. It's not on a busy strip so you would either need a car or take a taxi to where the night life action is. It worked out fine for us as we were in a group, had our own wheels and didn't have local nightlife on our agenda . Mathew, the hotel manager is very efficient and responsive to guest feedback and quickly resolved an issue I had with the level of charges for a late night snack ordered in for room service. I missed the complimentary coffee/tea tray in the room and suggested this be added as this is pretty standard for a hotel of this rating considering a mini bar is provided. Hopefully this will be added . We also noted the absence of a ventilation vent in one of the bedrooms and this did cause a bit of stuffiness. Some of the things we loved best - the cliff views and sighting dolphins; late nights in the jacuzzi, lounging by the pool side listening to the waves bashing against the cliffs; the peace and tranquility; the staff! This hotel would be a great choice for a wedding party or for a group on a retreat. Thanks to Mathew, the manager and his wonderful staff for making our GGW abfab!

So an Anglo-American wedding in Negril, always had the potential for some excitement, and we found some when 50 of us all con grated from all corners of the globe in the exquisite surroundings that is the Moon Dance Cliffs in Negril.

Greeted by Richard and Ryan with a cocktail is great start, but they gave themselves to us all week, nothing was too much trouble and they became genuine friends for the week. Sasha, Andre and Chrissie were highlights behind the fantastic bars and restaurants but everyone to a person epitomised great service.

We had a villa which was incredible and Kenroy made us feel looked after but without making us feel uncomfortable. The scenery, setting and location is as beautiful as the sunset.

The transfer from Montego Bay isn't the best, but definitely a case of the ends justifying the means. If you're considering Moon Dance Cliffs go, if you're not you should be. Thank you to everyone for making my brothers wedding one of the best weeks of ours lives.

The best man.

I would like to start by saying this is the most beautiful place that I have ever stayed. From before we left the UK and during the entire trip my husband and I as well as our family were treated with the upmost care. Richard who is always smiling, organised phones, cabs and so much more for us with ease.
Our wedding day was perfect, Kerry our wedding planning worked so hard to ensure that everything went to plan. The staff looked after us so well, Sasha and her world class cocktails, Sophia, Stacy, Tamana and their always smiling faces, and Dawkins getting almonds of the tree for my husband.
I am already planning with the extended family to return for our anniversary next year. Words cannot describe the experience that we had, I have attached some pictures so you can get to see the beauty of the place. If you go after my recommendation, tell everyone Simone and Steve Powell say hi.
