When I was researching restaurants within montego bay to take my bf to for his birthday I saw marguerites and just by reading the reviews I decided to take him to this restaurant and it was a beautiful experience for us both. We didnt regret this choice. I had made a reservation a few weeks in advance via email and I was delighted that all my requests for his special day was remembered and considered. The ambiance was great, the food was amazing. The atmosphere was very intimate. We both loved our experience here. I was happy with my choice. I would reccomend this restaurant to anyone. It is a bit pricey but the experience was worth the money. Would visit again

The concierge at our hotel recommended this for a nice sunset meal. They forgot to mention its very expensive! The food and service was good, with a different person assigned to almost every interaction. One issue was that we had someone with food allergies so as our main server came she asked if anyone had allergies. They discussed what could meet these requirements, however, someone else served that person's meal and thank god we checked as they included things he could not consume so they needed to re-prepare the meal. All the other dishes were good. They claim one of their house specialties is their caesar salad. We tried it but while they have a special house dressing our salad was more soup as they over did the dressing and never asked about how we'd like it.
The other fish dished and lamb were good. We didn't have desert. Yet the meal for four was over $100 per person+tax and tip.

Most of the reviews were so glowing that we tried Marguerites the first night in Mobay. They are supposedly noted for their Ceasar salad. It barely rated a C in our book. I ordered mussels, and they were so minuscule; about the size of a large pea. The prices are steep. We don't mind spending the money if the quality matches. In this case, it does not. The one good thing I can say is that the service staff is excellent.

It’s a very scenic venue, as this restaurant is located on the edge of the sea with water smashing aggressively against the side walls. Food is exceptional too.
However, service was ridiculously slow. Everything from getting a bottle of wine, more serving of bread, butter, main course and even the bill took forever. Not sure if today was an exceptional day with reduced staffing or there was another reason. At this price point, service needs to be prompt and more attentive.

We were greeted by a friendly staff and sat promptly, no reservation. Service was very good throughout the meal. Caeser salad was prepared at table side. Delicious. Our entrées were great. Grouper, curry pasta, filet. Nice atmosphere but caution those who don’t like to dine in dimly lit restaurants. It is pretty dark. Our eyes adjusted. Everyone is given a flashlight to read the menu. It was walking distance to our hotel, glad we tried it out. Recommend.
