We are a family of 5, traveling for 2 weeks to Guadeloupe. The photos of this unit were lovely. The writeup promised a beautiful ocean front location with pool and newly renovated unit with full amenities. When we arrived the unit was quite nice. It was repainted and nicely decorated. However, there was no oven just a small toaster oven that they said we should use as an oven. When we looked out the deck we saw that the pool was under serious repair and unavailable to us. There is also a huge sink hole on the beach side of the property. Then we found the water pressure was very low and at times we had no water at all. This was a nightmare for us. Philippe the manager was very difficult to work with. He first denied any issues. He said that we did not pay for access to the pool. Then he said that water pressure is a problem on the entire island. Our friends were staying in a unit in the same complex with no water problems. Our neighbours also did not have any water issues. After firmly pointing this out to Philippe only then did he call a plumber. The plumber was no able to fix the problem as it was much more extensive a problem then could be fixed in our time there. The pool was only completed 3 days before our departure. The water was never fixed during our stay. After several discussions with Philippe did agree on a 30% refund which he reneged on once we returned home. Be very careful dealing with this manager and his units. We are extensive travellers and we manage our own rental unit and found our overall experience to be very disappointing. This complex is not worth the money and Philippes' handling of the issues was disappointing.
