Upon arriving at the All-inclusive resort we were welcomed with open arms. The staff was friendly and everyone was helpful. Darwin’s was really helpful throughout our entire stay. Each day he saw us he greeted us with a warm smile, and told us of the daily events and was able to recommend great food choices. In the evenings he taught us how to dance. The facilities were top of the line. The Excellence Resort was a home away from home. We will be visiting again.More

It was our five year anniversary and we booked the second nicest room in the hotel only to arrive and they tell us that the room is not available and they gave us two options to change rooms. They told us the rooms were equal value but that was a lie after looking online the room was actually almost a $200 difference per night. Once I found that out I raise the issue with the so-called management hoping to at least get the difference back on my credit card only to be lead on that I would be receiving a refund. We had planned on spending a lot of time on the terrace of the honeymoon Terrace suite with punch pool unfortunately excellence screwed us over. We even talk to other couples that have their room upgraded because they didn’t have their room available so we went from Hatteras honeymoon suite to a junior suite ocean view. Hindsight is 2020 but I should’ve called the credit card company the day they tried to switch us and just canceled the trip and moved to hard rock excellence because my expectations have been zero at that point.
I wish excellence would give me a reason to come back because the food was amazing in the facilities were nice but I don’t think that’s gonna happen because their customer service has been absolutely terrible I would never recommend this hotel chain to anyone if they’re willing to screw people over like this.

OH MY WORD I can not express how amazing this place was. We came for our honeymoon and they made it so so so so much more. Iris in the kitchen table was like a second mom, Gucci baby from the entertainment crew made every day a party. Robel and veranoble from the excellence club concierge made us feel like family. Randy Ubiera got us to and from the airport supper fast and safe and was soo friendly would recommend him a thousand times over. Mini nicki, Hendrix and Richard who walks around during lunch yelling yummy yummies and brings you lunch will brighten up your days. We will CERTAINLY be back. Everyone here will treat you like family make you sad you have to leave. Give this place a try it’s so worth it!!

Excellence really lives up to its name! Between the delicious food, the entertainment, and the people, it was nothing but an awesome time. The workers there are all so friendly and fun to be around too! I want to give a special thanks to two of my favorite waiters who deserve the utmost credit: Santiago Salas from Agave restaurant and Yaniel De Leon Jimenez from The Lobster House. This was our first visit to EPC & we would definitely return. The entertainment staff alone would be the main reason for that return. Dauly Panda (who should have a permanent spot with the team), Gucci Baby, Shaggy, Kiki, Mini Barbie, Coca Cola, & Nicki Minaj truly made our trip special. We came with 2 other couples & they would say the same. We looked for them each day and tried to participate in all the fun activities. (Pool bingo, volleyball, crazy games, & water aerobics just to name a few) They are truly like family now & can’t wait to return & see them again!
As far as the grounds they are beautiful. Everything was very open and we loved that.
Turn down service was non existent but it didn’t make or break our trip. We had clean towels and a stocked mini bar each day though.
EC swim up was very nice.. we spent most of our time at the main pool but still a great room.
Dinner was great.. lunches were just ok. We also all loved Club Allegra & the Dj Hugo from India!!! Will definitely be back!!!
