Four of us stayed in a 2-bedroom condo for a week. We overlooked the Sea Aquarium and the sea, so we were able to watch the animals playing at night. The balcony was very large so we could eat all our meals outside, and still had room for lounge chairs too. Inside, the condo is also very large. The furniture is a bit dated (therefore, the 4 rating) but we were rarely inside. The kitchen had everything we needed. There are 3 tv's, one in each room and one in the living room. A larger family could stay easily and comfortably.
The pool also has a beautiful view of the sea (jacuzzi is nice but view is blocked by some pool equipment). Lounge chairs and lounge beds with cabanas are found poolside and the resort was not busy so easy to use with no extra fees. The beach side is well-groomed daily with lounge chairs, beautiful views from beach and some of the best snorkeling on the island.
The resort offers snorkeling gear (get it early in the week since they do run out), trips to the grocery store and downtown, Dance classes, and some other activities, (all for free). Fun nightlife across the small inlet (2 minute walk) at Hemingway's outside bar and grill with live music.
We rented a car for a few days (which was just enough). Rent the car ahead of time to pick up at Lions Dive Resort which is next door. A taxi can take you to/from airport for about $30 (taxis did take US cash).
Overall, wonderful trip and stay. Would go back and do it all again!

This is a beautiful resort that is out of the way (it is literally on its own island) but close to Curacao's main features and beaches. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. If you prefer the feel of staying in an apartment/condo to a hotel room, this place is for you. The only negative was that the concierge service was not as knowledgeable as you would likely find at a big hotel.

We exchanged our timeshare week into the Royal Sea Aquarium on Curacao and were lucky enough to be assigned unit B204A which was on the second floor of building B and had a perfect view of the Curacao Sea Aquarium! We were able to watch the dolphin and sea lion shows at least 3 times a day!

This resort is very small and has an intimate feel about it. Only 30, 2 bedroom lock-off units = 60 1 bedroom or studio units. The 1 bedroom unit we had was very spacious and the balcony was huge! The living room had 2 pull down Murphy beds as well as a pull-out couch. The bathroom was setup to allow easy and private access from both the master bedroom and the livingroom if you have guests staying on the pull-out or murphy beds.

Upon arriving in Curacao we did experience a very long line-up of people waiting to proceed through customs as they only had about 2 customs officers processing 100+ people who just came off the plane. Once clearing that however it was a simple process of grabbing a cab outside and proceeding to the resort. Although we had read online that the taxi fare would be around $35, the cab driver we got insisted on charging us $40, so be aware that prices can vary. The resort will also arrange for an airport transfer ($45) if you email them in advance to advise them of your flight details, etc.

The resort offers free shuttles to town every day at 9:00 a.m. just remember that these don't return until 3 p.m. There is also a free round trip grocery shuttle which leaves on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and Monday to Friday at 9:00 a.m. and 4 p.m. This shuttle goes to the Vreugdenhil grocery store which has reasonable quality groceries and meats as well as beer and alcohol.

The resort also offers for free – books, games, beach towels and has BBQ grills however you will need to purchase the charcoal. As well you will be given free admission to the Curacao Sea Aquarium which is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This is truly a wonderful bonus! The in room WiFi is complimentary and hairdryers are available at the Front Desk upon request.

Full maid service is on Wednesdays (free), however the house cleaning staff came in every day to straighten the room and replace used towels. Check in is at 4 p.m. and check out is at 11 a.m.

The beach at the resort is small but more than adequate and never crowded. The beach directly across the channel at the Lions Dive resort is longer and is walkable for approx 15 minutes. The resort’s location is a bit remote if you wanted to walk to restaurants etc, however we never found it to be a problem as we did all of our cooking in the unit.

Happy Hour: at Augusto’s from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday (only certain drinks).
Orientation: on Sunday at 9:30 a.m lasted approx 1 hour.

All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quiet resort and are definitely planning on returning when we are able!

Room Tip: All rooms at this resort will have an ocean view!

We stayed for 8 days in November. Where on earth can you find a five star resort in a great location, with only 30 units, an onsite Italian restaurant, its own private beach, on its own private island? We found it and absolutely loved it. Our unit was a 1st floor 1 bedroom corner unit 50' from the ocean with a view from the balcony of the Dolphin shows, watch the ships, schools of large fish in the ocean jumping, and beautiful sunsets. The staff was friendly and attentive. I used the concierge service daily to make excursion, taxi, and restaurant reservations. We are planning to return soon!

We stayed here in Sept for 5 days and we were looking to just relax. The staff was very friendly. anytime we needed anything they were there to help and in a timely manner. The beach is not too big, manmade, and very nice. There is a beach bar called at the hotel next to it where you can swim across the lagoon to get to it or just walk around and relax overlooking the water. Our room was overlooking the Sea Aquarium. We sat out on the patio at night listening to the sea lions and watching the dolphins. It was nice to wake up to the same as well. The pool area was clean, quiet, and very relaxing. It is about a fifteen minute cab ride to downtown. Take advantage of the downtown area and eat lunch on the water. There are street vendors set up by the market and we got a few good deals there. There is also plenty of shopping downtown. It was a very nice vacation and we would definitley go back.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the Sea Aqaurium.
