These apartments have full kitchenette, with separate bedroom. Great location, away from congested areas of Willemstad. These apartments are located about 10m/30ft above the ocean with jumping/diving possible. There are stairs half way down to the ocean where you can jump from or take the ladder down to the water. There is also a beach, Playa Lagun, walking distance away, (about 1km). Playa Jeremi is even closer, but it is isolated and prone to thefts. Both the beach, and ocean in front of the apts are great for snorkelling.

The city bus stop is right in front of the hotel so you can get by without a car. We rented a car on the first and last days to get to/from the airport and cruise ship terminal. Load up with groceries/drinks in town for your stay since there is no large grocery store nearby. Take the bus back into the city for car drop off/pick up if you choose to save money during your stay. We stayed 9 nights and enjoyed a whole week relaxing without the need to drive every day. Our hosts were very friendly and looked after all of our requests.

Room Tip: Pick oceanview, worth the extra cost!

We spent weekend of mother's day here with family and friends. Loved the peace and quietness as it is at Lagun which is very far from the main centre. But if you want a place to just relax with sun, sand and beach it is the place to go to.

My wife and I stayed here for 10 days during our scuba diving trip to Curacao. We have been to the Island many times and love it here. 1st time staying at My Dreams and we were not disappointed. The owner, Sonia is a fantastic lady and very attentive. There is a gate for security that you open and close when you come and go. We had apartment E which is located on the ground floor, beside the parking area, facing the ocean. There is a beautiful deck area all across the back of the property that provides awesome views of the ocean and sunset each night. Lots of room to hang your scuba stuff to dry after a day of diving. Each room has a drying rack so you can put your stuff outside and then bring it in to the air conditioned bedroom overnight to finish drying for the morning. At the end of the driveway was a large bucket with an outside water tap to rinse your stuff then carry it 10 feet to your deck and hang it to dry. This is a very quiet place to stay and everyone is very friendly with each other. The bedroom had 2 queen beds and a single bed. The bedroom is the only place air conditioned which is typical for Curacao as electricity is very expensive here. The air conditioner takes maybe 15 minutes to cool the room off to 21 degrees and is a good escape for a quiet and comfortable nights sleep. There was also a fan that we placed outside the bedroom door blowing out on the deck for a breeze. The bathroom has everything you need including a large shower with sliding doors. The kitchen was equipped with a full size fridge, freezer on top, toaster oven, 2 burner hot plate, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, pots and pans etc etc. There is a 4 person kitchen table and chairs just off the kitchen. Everything you need to be self sustaining during your stay. There is a living room with 2 couches, and cable /satellite tv. Internet via wifi is available throughout the property. Lots of plug-ins @ 110 volts so North Americans don't need any travel converters for charging your cameras and other gear. Your personal back deck is about 10 x 12 and has 2 lounge chairs and a small table. This was a great place to stay and reasonably priced. The location is excellent both for the views and access to the best diving on Curacao all within a 2 to 30 minute drive. We will be back.

Waking up every morning to the waves splashing below and every night watching the sun set was what made our stay at My Dream Apartments perfect! In fact we were supposed to stay for just 2 nights but extended our stay for 2 more because of the serene quiet and meditative atmosphere. As the other reviewers have stated, "It is simple, could be a bit cleaner, and could be updated" but those small things were easy to overlook while we watched the sunset drinking a rum punch. Also, the location was fabulous as a way to explore the national parks, beaches, and countryside.

We didn't get to meet Sonia but she called us every day to see how we were and apologized for not being able to meet us in person. We looked forward to her morning calls!

The only thing we would suggest for My Dream Apartments is to have a little booklet of things people would want to know such as where the local grocery store is, where to get a good traditional meal, and local attractions (beaches, hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, biking, etc.).

My boyfriend and I stayed at My Dream Apartment in May 2014, for a dive trip to Curaçao, which is a wonderful place for diving. At first, we liked the apartment very much, the view from the balcony is spectacular, and the owner was very friendly at first. The property is gated, and there's a lock for the gate that nobody uses. After our dives, we would leave our equipment outside to dry, in the back of the house, just like all the other divers were doing. But one night, somebody trespassed the property and stole our rented regulators, the most expensive diving items. We had to pay 700 dollars to the dive shop we rented the equipment from, and the apartment owner didn't want to take any responsibility for her property not being safe. She didn't even offer to pay even a small part of the bill we got.
Besides that, there were other issues with the apartment: the toilet in our apt was flushing poorly, and we often had to fill a water bucket to help it flush. There are no outlets in the bathroom, so if you girls want to dry or style your hair, good luck with that. Also, weak lights in the bathroom and in the bedroom. There is no place to put your toiletries inside the shower. I know it's possible to get by without these amenities, but it'd been nice if the place had them.
Bottom line, the apartment is old, but nice, we liked the view and the location, but we had a bad experience concerning its safety.
