We had a great stay for several nights at Roberto's and Martha's home. Their home is literally just next to the beach in a quiet location. Martha's breakfasts were delicious, the best we had in Cuba. Roberto also offered to drive us from Varadero to Havana for a very fair price. I would definitely recommend staying at Roberto's and Martha's home.

This casa particular came recommended to me by my cousin who is a family friend of Roberto and Martha. Not only do they have a spectacular location (cross the street and you're at the beach, also situated only a few blocks from artisanal markets and plenty of restaurants/night life), but they are a warm and welcoming pair. We stayed in a comfortable suite with a full-sized and twin sized bed - the bathroom was spacious and modern (will all the bells and whistles of what you would expect in a U.S. hotel bathroom). The room also came equipped with A/C and a fan.

Roberto and Martha were very helpful with dining suggestions, but by far the best food we had in Varadero was in Martha's kitchen - she cooked a continental breakfast every morning (fresh fruit, toast, eggs, crepes, coffee and juice) and we had a delicious dinner with them (snapper filets, fried plantains, congri rice, salad and ice cream for dessert). The price of the stay and the meals cannot be beat. Wish I hadn't wasted my time eating at other places and had every meal at the house.

Cannot wait to go back - will definitely be staying with Roberto and Martha and will pass their info along to other friends and family looking to stay in Varadero.

We intentionally tried to find a place in Varadero on the Western end of the beach and this Casa was perfect. Great people and very nice accomos. Close to the largest artisan market, a bus stop, little corner markets for drinks and snacks, and across the street from an open field that led to the beach. We relaxed and enjoyed ourselves on this end of the beach which had about equal Cubans and foreigners. We were directed to several nice restaurants two bus stops to the East and in comfortable walking distance as well. Enjoy yourself!

This delightful Casa Particular is close to Varadero beach but on the more 'Cuban' side of town away from the big resorts. Perfect! It is spotlessly clean and Roberto and Marta are excellent hosts. Breakfast is a feast to behold. We enjoyed fresh fruit, bread, juice, coffee and Roberto's delicious pancakes and omelettes. Roberto and Marta got up early to prepare our breakfast on our last day as we had an early bus to catch. We really appreciated this. The family's adorable little cat was a bonus!
