There is a $3 cuc charge to go to the roof, but you get a free drink, so might as well have an mojito while you gaze at the lovely sunset and take photos. Even on a cloudy evening it is lovely. There is an elevator for those who don't want to traverse the stairs. You can see the cathedral, the square, the port and the sunset! It's a great place to go just before dinner to meet up with your group and take selfies with the church or sunset in the background. Don't forget to tip!

We were booked in here by an agency for five nights. Its been renovated, and the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. However the first night we were there the water was only Luke warm and next door a building was being renovated. The tradesmen worked 24hrs with music blasting full bore all the time.Day two the power went off at 6am and didn't come back on till9pm.Not even Luke warm water that day.Day three we got back at 5pm the water was cold again. The staff told us that it was only our room but we couldn't change rooms as they ewere full.Other guests we spoke to said they had no hot water.Day four they moved us to another room. When we got back in the afternoon there was no water. The staff said there was water but they had to pump it up to the roof but the pump was broken. On our last day there was water and it was great to finally get a nice shower. The reception staff were good but the staff in the breakfast room weren't that wonderful.Avoid staying here.

Very comfortable, basic, clean and convenient location. The bed was comfortable, bathroom clean and overall the accommodation surpassed our expectations. When most everything else was booked up, there were a couple of rooms for our friends and us. There was a great view from the common-area sitting room.

Historic building, roof top view is amazing, have a drink and enjoy the view. Fills up fast, so make reservations ahead of time. The location near the plaza is a big plus, you can walk to restaurants and the Casa de Trova for some of the best traditional music in Cuba.

Ok, sure, you have stayed in a better place. They probably had warm water (in that other place where you stayed). Maybe, in that other place, they had room service. But, if you came to Cuba for the room service and the hot water then please do yourself a favor and get on a boat fast. If you came to Cuba to hear the music on the street, to watch the people as they walk and eat and live, if you came to Cuba to make sweet sweet love with a woman (or man) that you love, then you have found the right place. The Vibrations in your large, beautiful room, will echo out the floor to ceiling windows, as will your voices as they climax in the ecstasy that is Cuba. If you want to see, smell, and be Cuba, do yourself (and that ever so special person you love) a favor, and stay here. The Love. The Passion.
