Nice Cuban food, good prices, busy restaurant, you NEED to book, or turn up before they open at 6pm and bag a table. Turn up at 8pm and you WILL be to late to get a table.
People in the know push past the other half dozen restaurants there and go straight to Dona Eutimia's.... great Ropas Viejas, ("old clothes", or "rags") which is shredded lamb casserole, basically.
The red wine from Chile was good, and as bonus the Chocolate brownie and icecream was the best I tasted in Cuba.
Prices were small given how very busy the restaurant was. Dona Eutimia is a Havana institution and there is a reason for this: its very good food at very reasonable prices.
