Nice Cuban food, good prices, busy restaurant, you NEED to book, or turn up before they open at 6pm and bag a table. Turn up at 8pm and you WILL be to late to get a table.
People in the know push past the other half dozen restaurants there and go straight to Dona Eutimia's.... great Ropas Viejas, ("old clothes", or "rags") which is shredded lamb casserole, basically.
The red wine from Chile was good, and as bonus the Chocolate brownie and icecream was the best I tasted in Cuba.
Prices were small given how very busy the restaurant was. Dona Eutimia is a Havana institution and there is a reason for this: its very good food at very reasonable prices.

We stopped here the our first evening and had a wonderful meal. The prices were very reasonable. The wait staff was friendly and the mojitos excellent. We had the avocado appetizer which was awesome. If you go very early, you may not need a reservation but reservations are highly recommended.

Happened upon restaurant while walking early evening near the Cathedral. Excellent service, lobster was delicious and very reasonable.
Musicians played for awhile then a young boy (14) took over to sing several songs a capella. Magnificent voice and wonderful personality.
Maitre d' said he had won a singing competition in Havana.
Lovely, romantic evening eating outside in patio listening to music.
Will definitely return.

In Dona Eutimia we had the best mojito during our trip to Cuba: the mojito frappe! We were surprised, since Bodeguita del Médio was just around the corner. The food was also incredible. I loved this restaurant.

Great service and food ! Also the fresh juice and mojito drinks were nice.
Avocados were really big so you were almost full after the starter.
Fresh food prepared from good raw products.
