Bought a day pass (we were on a cruise). Beaches are not like on the sister islands (Aruba and Curacao) - water is crystal clear and warm but lots on stones under foot at the waters edge (bring swim socks/shoes). We picked this spot because it does have one of the sandier (less rocky) beaches. The Bolandra Bar on the beach is shaped like the prow of a ship with very well done fixtures. Bartenders and wait staff are very friendly - Misheila is a standout.
Overall a great resort, quiet, private, 5-10 minute taxi ride from the port and "cruiser" free. Lots of shade, palms, hammocks, etc.
