Just got back and this was our stop over befor the cruise.and after.do not get a low level room as people congregate and smoke cigarettes and the smell enters your room.we had a. Room on the 4th floor room is basic but does the job.reception ok free wifi.staff helpful on the last few days we were given a room on the 6th floor nicer room with great views .but the lift only took you up instead of down technical fault.food is not good at all.staff are hard working but food realy does pull it down.great little beach and great bar overlooking the bay.no wine served only beer and vodka whisky.but again no wine.nice point to bring to the table is the bottle of sparkling in the room.breaks the ice so to speak.at least we lost the weight we gained from the cruise when we had our last days here.we did enjoy it and would stay again in the same room just giving you some ideas on what to expect.all the best and enjoy

Room Tip: Top floor a must

We stayed at Barbados beach club resort for 7 days at the beginning of January. The resort is really well kept, very clean. The food is amazing, so many different choices, you get three buffet style meals and a 4 O'clock sandwich hour. Also there is one A la Carte on the resort which is also really good, but smaller portions. The resort is right off of the ocean so you can go for a swim or lay on the beach whenever you want. The waves are bigger, good for swimming and jumping the waves, but not good for snorkeling. the resort is a lot smaller than other resorts we have been to. Barbados is an amazing Island, it is so beautiful!!

Just arrived back from BBC, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Please ignore most of the bad reviews on here, Myself and partner usually stay in 5* hotels throughout the world. This property has never advertised itself at that and its a typical Caribbean hotel! Old and dated.
Yes the hotel could do with a refurbishment however was clean.

Whoever said the food is like a school meal seriously needs to go back to school! The food was beautiful, Different variety of food daily, although did get repetitive towards the end. A la carte options usually only once maybe twice a week in other all inclusive hotels worldwide. BBC offers it 3 times a week. We had Lamb Shanks which was delicious the first time, Chicken in a white wine sauce the second and Spare ribs on the last occasion.

Plentiful sun loungers for everyone, the pool was cleaned daily. Beach towels provided and sun loungers/umbrella provided whenever you wanted.

Can't understand people saying limited cocktail list. I asked for the list and there were 4 pages of alcoholic drinks.. Yes the tap drinks are semi flat, however if you ask for it out of the bottle - that's fine..

Breakfast was 07:30 - 10:30, Lunch 12:30 - 14:30, Afternoon Tea 16:00 - 17:00, Dinner 19:00 - 22:00.

Maxwell Sea area can get quite rough at times, however we still went in and was fine.

10 minute walk to the Gap.

Had a bath & shower twice daily, Not once did we experience any hot water problems.

Other visitors saying the hotel provided no activities?? We played mini golf, tennis and seen people kayaking. You just have to ask!

If you do visit, be sure to look out for the two tortoises out the front in the bushes! :)

Room Tip: The view from the sea rooms were amazing!

We stayed at this Hotel over Christmas 2014 and it was lovely. The Hotel itself could do with an upgrade, but it was spotlessly clean with room service daily. The food was nice and plentiful, and the staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. There wasn't much entertainment in the evening, although always music playing (but then it was Christmas and only a handful of guests), except for Christmas Day when for about an hour they put on a fabulous show. The Hotel beach is beautiful and at the time we were there was relatively quiet. I'd definitely go back to this Hotel, and hope to again one day. The only negative I can say, and is nothing to do with the Hotel, was that we were ripped off by paying for transfers from the airport with our travel agent at £100 each. The airport is only 15 mins drive away and is £20 dollars in a taxi. We had a fabulous relaxing holiday at the Barbados Beach Club, made all the more special when my partner proposed here on Christmas Day :) Wendy & Kev, Morecambe, UK aged late 40's x

Room Tip: All rooms have a sea view. We chose a garden room as it was off to the side and very quiet. We had the best of both, quiet with a sea view. Opt for 3rd floor or above for fab views. Plus apparently our room was classed as the cheapo ones! For us it was the best location.

We had a 8 day stay at the Barbados beach club earlier this month and we had a fab time, Soomeone wrote that the food was like school dinners, we I don't know what school they went to , as the food was great something for everyone, Also all the staff were very welcoming and always had a smile for you, I really don't know what people want for a 3 star hotel!!! I would like yo make people aware that there is a guy called Leon who says he plays in a band in Oystins and tries to sell you regge CD's on the beach, DO NOT buy them they are very bad old films , No music. So tell him to get lost as I got done for 30 dollers. So all in all I would go back there,
