Our first visit here. Can't recommend it highly enough. Guy on the door was rather brusque initially but once he had stated the rules/policies he was fine. So for 50 bds you get beds chairs tables umbrellas etc ... you also get 40bds back on a card to spend on food and drink and the option to take a boat ride to swim with turtles and to snorkel on the artificial reef. The beach is delightful and there are rope swings and trampolines in the water so plenty to keep young people busy. We were not hassled off the beach as we are on other parts of the island at sunset and enjoyed the last of the sun in our chairs with lovely sunset drinks. Will go again before the end of the holiday.

Arrived early and had pick of the chairs and cabanas. Great beach with lots to do. Went on the short, complementary turtle/shipwreck snorkel. Had the best coconut shrimp for lunch. Go and enjoy this place!

The Boatyard was the meeting point for a family get together. On arrival we were met by a hostess who explained how they operate. We took the package $50.00 each where for that we could buy food & drink to value of $100.00 (for me & my daughter) which all the money would be put on a card for the duration of our stay. We also signed up for swim with turtles upon arrival as I knew they would a long wait for this from other reviewers.
Off we went to a canopy & beach chairs, dumped our belongings & away we went into the sea. They have a floatable iceberg to climb (can be tricky) but doable , also they have a floatable trampoline, a platform to jump off (or dive if you're brave) & swing rope. After that it's just there's not more for the children but that will be enough to get the busy & out your hair for a good long while.
Ordering food & drink was easy, order what you want give them your card, money is deducted , your receipt will have your name on it & you will be called over their tannoy system when your food is ready ( depending how busy it can get may take about 30-45 minutes. Once ordered don't stray too far from the restaurant as you will not hear them from the seafront. Food & drink could be a bit pricey for what it is (but you're on holiday so you kind of expect that) but e had no problem finishing it off.
Got an announcement over the tannoy again that our party was ready to be taken out to see the turtles. We were given lifejacket for everyone who came onto the boat & snorkels for everyone was going out to swim with the turtles. Off onto the boat we all went out to sea which took about two minutes if that. We were then told about the Do's & Don'ts when/if we meet turtles. Meeting wildlife in their habitat is unpredictable & not guaranteed. But we were lucky to see one turtle & plenty of fishes. We swam around for about 10-15 minutes, there were other boat trips out there as well so got a bit crowded out there in the big wide ocean. Times up back to our beach
Overall a great experience to remember, a fabulous day out with the family, nice venue, would we got back again ? Yes we will definitely.

I initially thought this was going to be really tacky and dirty going by the stories of some of the cruise guests who had been before, but luckily I never listen to anyone and decided to give it a go:) Glad I did. We spent the last 2 days of the cruise at this beach. 25 US Dollar to get in and we got a free drink (no credit like some more recent guests, booooo). There were those 4 poster lounge beds which were great for some shade and relaxing to the max. Swing rope etc on the pier. Great calm sea and clean and quiet beach. They play music which I thought was really nice, though possibly not to everyone's taste, but it gave you the kind of party feeling without it being mental. You can go and snorkel with the turtles as many times as you like. I done it both days and thought it was amazing. Don't forget to appreciate the amazing other creatures (stingray) and fishies when you go snorkling, they are well worth keeping your eye on. The food was very good as well and they also do free shots, which you won't miss as it gets announced quite loudly:) Definitely the place to go to relax and have fun. Every now and then they will announce the next taxi runs to the cruise terminal. We had a great time and would definitely go back.

Get here early right off the ship to reserve a spot, drinks were a little overpriced but you do get one included in the $20 fee. You also get all the ocean toys and a trip to swim with the turtles (Highly recommended). For lunch I recommend leaving the boatyard and turning left for a short walk into Bridgetown, met some wonderful locals and had an amazing time!
