This was our fourth time at the Surf Club and it hasn't lost a beat. We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa which gave us a full kitchen to have breakfast and to make lunch. My wife was a trooper and went down to reserve all our Palapas for the week. Although a pain, I think it is the only fair way to distibute them. We are beach peolpe so stayed away from the pools. Most, not all kids seem to go to the pools, which is fine with us. As has been said before, the property is over developed, too many rooms.Weather was great every day except our travel day which was good for us.as usual, we enjoyed the many fine restaurants on the island. Anyone staying at an allinclusive is missing one of the best parts of Aruba, the fine restaurants. Thanks to all staff members for providing a wonderfull stay.We will be back in September with our two grown children.

We have been coming to Aruba for five years - usually stay at The Ocean Club - which is hands down, the better resort. The staff is not as friendly or helpful - experienced problems at check-in and while trying to reserve a beach spot. Service is very slow at market and while making reservations for a beach chair/spot. I counted this morning as I walked to reserve a beach spot - passed four resort employees - none of which spoke or acknowledged me (and I looked straight at them and smiled). One employee thanked me when I checked out at the market. If you have any mobility problems, you'll find that there is a lot more walking here - food and in-house shops are not convenient - especially if you are in the Spy Glass Tower. I think you would rate this location lower if you have ever stayed next door at The Ocean Club....just a world of difference. We've spoken with others here who have told us they avoid The Surf Club - advice which we will also follow going forward. This resort just doesn't live up to the high standards of Marriott.

Room Tip: Don't stay in the Spy Glass Tower unless you have to...too far from the markets and lobby of the...

Had a great time in Aruba. The Marriott
Surf Club is a wonderful place. Locate in Palm Beach area and within a 5 minute walk to many shops and restaurants along the Palm Beach strip. The resort also offers many dining options. Plan to return but for two+ weeks next time. If you are looking for a relax atmosphere this is the place - you can enjoy sitting around the pool or better yet get a swim tube and soak the day away cruising the lazy river in the pool area. You will enjoy this place... Guaranteed.

We went to this absolutely gorgeous location for our honeymoon. The service is excellent; I was able to connect with a doctor and pick up medicine from a local pharmacy with a single phone call to the concierge! The DePalm Tours desk was eminently helpful, the food superb, and the room immaculate. The suites are beautiful--and though the deck is small, it is the perfect nook for looking at the sea without the fear of severe sunburn. The buses run regularly outside the hotel, there is always a taxi available, and the staff is invariably friendly. There were many families vacationing also, but we didn't find it to be any trouble at all (regarding noise and whatnot).

I really enjoyed my week at the Surf Club. It is in a great location IMO (close to great snorkeling, grocery store, restaurants...). I liked all of the water features and the Adult ONLY pool was a nice place to relax with a great view of the sunset.
The menu items for the outside dining were good, the fish taco's were my favorite!!
I didn't care for people leaving towels on the pool chairs before 7am.
Overall it is a wonderful resort and I will be returning again soon.
