Barcelo Aruba, the WORST !

Please DO NOT BOOK BARCELO ARUBA!
The rooms were smelly, dirty, extremely old, and the balcony was filthy. It smelled as if the room had been closed for years and was only opened when I arrived. The bathroom was very ordinary as well. Additionally, the room was too small and not suitable for a family with kids.

Despite paying extra for an Ocean/Pool view, I received a room that was akin to garbage. The safe was not working, and I had to call the help desk. It took 2-3 people half an hour to repair the broken safe.

I sincerely advise against staying at Barcelo Aruba. I didn't realize this was rated as a 3.5-star hotel; I had thought it was at least a 4-star hotel when I made my booking. However, during my stay, it felt more like a 2.5-star hotel.

I have nothing positive to say about my experience at Barcelo Aruba.

I hope this review will help those who are planning to book this all-inclusive resort.

The location of the Barcelo is amazing, the price of my room was 1000 per day, the food was very bad, nasty and didn’t have a lot options of fresh foods, they didn’t have natural juice, I had a problem in the Air Conditioner, they never fix it, I paid a lot money for stay 4 days but the hotel food was really bad, I been in punta cana 6 times in Barceló, in punta cana was everything Amazing, beautiful and less price

Our honeymoon was amazing and we could not have asked for better! We had the best bartenders, servers, hosts, tour guides, etc.! We are so excited to come back and visit again! If you are staying at Barcelo you need to visit Diego at the pool bar, Gerald at the Mexican restaurant on site, and definitely check out the Hibachi restaurant on site for awesome entertainment and amazing food!! -Gavin & Grace

Room tip: If you want chairs by the pool or a cabana on the beach wake up early!!

We had an amazing time at Barcelo for our honeymoon! Huge shoutout to Diego who was one of the bartenders at the poolside bar! He had such a huge vibe to the people around him. I would definitely recommend coming to this resort and/or return for another vacation here!

Staff was the greatest. Love coming to Aruba and Barcelo. Pool and beach chairs also Palapas needs to repaired. Great staff. Marolyn, Ivette and Belinda are the best. Will be back next year. Would like to have shampoo and conditioners in the bathrooms.

I had such a magical experience At Barcelo and i can't wait to go back!!!

This was my first visit in Aruba and it was a very memorable one. The food was fantastic, the rooms were extremely clean and luxurious, but above all else, it was the staff the took my experience to the next level.

I had experiences with two extremely personable staff members that truly made me feel like a modern king. All staff members were very friendly and helpful, but two persons especially shined.

Shaniqua was so personable and polite. Perhaps the hardest working person on the resort. i witnessed her deescalate a dispute with an unruly patron with professionalism and class. she made great conversation and was very funny! We were so surprised when she said she had just started, we assumed she had worked there for many years!

Erving at the lobby bar was an absolute gem. A consummate professional. So helpful. Courteous. Super fast service. Very polite as well. His chocolate mudslide is next level!

Also they have the best elevator mirror for taking selfies. you'll do it too!
