this is the best place, it is large enough and yet small enough, pool & beach are right there even if you are up on the 5th floor... its a five minute walk,,, food is GREAT, altho they could use a Pizza Stand.... it is clean and the people are so very friendly, def'ly will come back !!

Room Tip: we came as a group, some were ground floor other were up on the 5th floor.... we had no complaints!!

For the money best hotel I've too. As an owner you can't beat the top shelf liquor free internet private check in .. Kids stay and play all day, this is what life is all about , seeing your children splash in the Aruba beaches is priceless.. Food is great , location is awesome.. Go there

This resort makes you feel like your home. The people are great!!! We fell in love with all of them. Genesis at beach was GREAT she took really good care of us. Melvin in the Royal Club dinning room was always there with a smile. Hazel in Royal Club took such good care of us. Dale in the buffet I think told everyone that we where her girls. But, I think she was ours. Can't wait to go back.

Room tip: Up Grade to Royal Club.

Usually my husband and I go on cruises for our vacation. Last year we had a bad experience on a cruise so decided to go to an all-inclusive resort in Aruba. We had been to Aruba twice before as a port of call on the cruise ship so had an idea of where we wanted to stay. We stayed at this resort in January 2016 and the weather was great! The motel was very nice and the food was excellent!! Great pool and swim up bar. The all-inclusive package included free drinks which they did not skimp on the alcohol. The motel was very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. A lot of water sports offered and things to do. We especially enjoyed listening to Lenny sing in the lobby at night.

It was very important for me to find the right vacation destination for my family's vacation over the Christmas Holiday! I found the perfect place for our vacation in Aruba and staying at the beautiful Occidental Grand Aruba! The hotel was first class with very professional staff. The pool was a great size and clean. The hotel had some fun afternoon activities for the entire family to get involved in.Our room was perfect , clean and we loved the shower/bathroom. The beach was clean had great beach chairs. There was a cabana bar right on the beach! I have no complaints. The food was awesome and had such a great variety. I also liked the separate restaurants where you would make reservations and enjoy a top-notch dinner. The hotel also had enjoyable shows in the evening. I felt very safe in Aruba and found the people to be extremely kind and friendly. I can't wait to go back next year!

Room tip: Just ask for ocean view.

So this was my third time at the hotel with my wife and second time for my daughter Julia. And we love it!!! My parent have been going to this hotel for over 25 years and when I want to go to Aruba they told me I must go to the Occidental. So we did. I been traveling for over 20 years to all Island and cruises but let me tell you the staff at the Occidental treat you like family. It start with Lorena Labrador who help with the reservation and made sure everything was set for us. We stayed in the Royal Club part of the hotel and the staff that help us I really was so happy !! Vericona who check us in was great and Sandra well she is a very very special women she make you feel like family. The Royal club also has a place you can eat and the staff was wonderful George and Melvin what out of there way to make sure my 1 year old daughter had special meals. The wait staff was great!! Edgar was the so nice. I am telling you some place you feel like you are bothering them but not at this place. The food has gotten so much better from the last time!! If I have one complaint it was the casino was closed! But that was it! Listen if you have a family go to this place. Also the crew by the pool that does the games is great!! And Rusty at the bar was great!!! It so nice how they a lll remember my parents !!1 My father is sick and can't go anymore but they treat me so good I will be coming back very soon!!!
