We have just had a holiday here with our 5 retriever dogs and it was everything we could have hoped for and more.! We didnt really expect to find any cottage owners willing to accomodate us,and were delighted that we were allowed to book.
We were worrying about whether we would have to be taking iour dogs everywhere on their leads to avoid sheep,but we neednt have worried because within a very short drive there are several wonderful woodland walks which were perfect.Our dogs could run and play and didnt bother anyone because we hardly met a soul.It was quiet,peaceful,stress-free and the scenery was beautiful.
The cottage is like a home from home,and really geared up for doggy guests as the floors are tiled and wooden flooring.
The view from the cottage is amazing and all you can here are the sheep and the birds.
We loved this holiday and despite the fact I have been all over the world,I have to say that this was one of the best holidays I have ever had.
We really want to return soon.

A wonderful charming barn with home from home comforts, set in a beautiful landscape where you can see for miles. The dogs loved it, the kids loved it and we loved it! Baytree barn was warm and cosy with everything that a discerning relaxer could ask for! Nikki and Jay are the perfect hosts and our evening with them at the 'local' pub quiz was hilarious, tasty and so much fun! I would like to say that the mountain biking was fab, but quite honestly we were too busy have lazy walks in the forests and lounging by the log fire eating and drinking that we will have to come again for that! Nikki and Jay have created a unique and delightful way to have a holiday and we will be back for sure!

We stayed at Brechfa Forest Barns in Bay Tree Barn for a weekend and could easily have stayed a week, if not more!!

The Barn is even lovelier than the photos. We arrived on a cold Friday night and Nikki made sure the Barn was toasty warm for us. It's spacious and homely and we found everything we need to cook there, although were seriously tempted by Nikki's amazing homemade food menu... perhaps next time.

The bed was very comfortable in a simple and beautiful bedroom. Made getting up for mountain biking in the morning hard!

Just a short drive from Brechfa Forest's mountain bike trails, the barns make an ideal place for mountain bikers with a hot shower and wood burning stove to come back to.

We'd definitely recommend staying here, the views out of the Barn are stunning and it felt like a million miles from all the everyday stresses.

I came across Brechfa Forest Barns whilst looking for a cottage in a peaceful location that would take our 3 dogs and immediately secured a booking. When we arrived, Bay Tree Barn surpassed all expectations. It was warm and homely and very tastefully decorated and furnished. With the all important enclosed garden it was perfect for our needs and those of our border collies! Our dogs were not just 'accepted' but were clearly welcome. There was even a dedicated dog cupboard full of bowls, towels and other dog related paraphernalia which really impressed us. The location was ideal, endless walking opportunities from the door or within a short drive, and as for beaches both north and south coastlines are easily accessible and very dog friendly. Sadly we only had a few days free at the time but there is so much to see and do in the area that a week's stay, or even two, would be fabulous! Great cottage, lovely hosts and a stunningly beautiful setting made this short break probably the most enjoyable we have had. We are definitely hoping to go back later this year. Way too good a place to only visit once!!
