We had to do something on the last evening of our stay at Aruba and we chose the wine tasting with standard package. And what an experience it was!

We were picked up my Monrick from our hotel and in the car we started already to discuss wines, what we like and what we do not like. When we got to the restaurant we noticed it was just the two of us which was perfect, we had feared a large group so the wine tasting was very warm and intimate with a lot of good tapas, discussion about the different wines, what to check out etc. Monrick is really enthusiastic and has a very deep knowledge of wines.

We are so happy we decided to do this and we recommend this for others as well.

Thank you Monrick Croes! He's the owner and his knowledge and enthusiasm for wines is immediately apparent. He delighted us with two great Carmeneres from Chile. The second one was the crowning jewel. Here's the picture of the bottle. This is a great experience. A must visit place on the island.

Monrick picks several wines that you enjoy while he drives you around to several destinations on the island. His is a "local" and gives you insight into what it is like to live on Aruba. Enjoyed the tour, ending with a stop at his Wine Room.

A few days before leaving for our first trip to Aruba I was searching for information and happened upon The Wine Room. There wasn't much information and when we got to our resort a lot of the repeat visitors never heard of it. We were truly in for a surprise and a treat! We are lovers of wine and food. The Wine Room Experience is what we booked and Monrick picked us up at our hotel and brought us to his Wine Room. The place was cozy and nice. We had wine pairings and amazing small plates that went perfectly with each other. We dined at many fine restaurants on this trip but we truly felt this was the best and we will most definitely return next year!

During our return visit to Aruba we again booked an evening at The Wine Room. We had gone last year, and enjoyed it very much, so returned to try the Malbec tasting. The owner, Monrick E. Croes, picked us up at our resort and took us to The Wine Room where he prepared the dinner and started us on the tasting of the Malbecs. This was a private tasting, which made it a delightful evening. The meal started with Brie topped with sugar, that he then caramelized, which was very tasty. The filet cooked with butter and garlic was also delightful, as were the 4 Malbecs. If you enjoy wines, fine food, and a private evening (versus the cattle call tours) I would highly recommend the Wine Room while in Aruba!
