Yet another accidental reservation by my mother in law, and another winner!

5 minute-ish can ride from the high rise hotel area, and we were there. The first thing you notice is how immaculately clean the restaurant is. Everything looks brand new and spotless. It's also very colorful, which oddly works very well in this restaurant.

We were greeted immediately by very friendly staff.. The service was excellent, the food even better.

We will return. Highly recommend.

We heard a lot of good things about this restaurant during our two week stay. We have been to Aruba 28 years and most restaurants come and go, but we gave Waka Waka a try and loved it. The food, service and prices were great, the location near Ling and Sons Supermarket, not so good, but once inside the restaurant we have an awesome time. Give it a try you won't be sorry.

During the week in Aruba this was by far the most fun dining experience. First of compliments to all the staff. We were taken care of by Daniela and Effraim who were extremely friendly, efficient and fun. We were there for the early bird dinner which included a whole bottle of wine along with excellent choices for an appetizer, main meal and dessert all at a very reasonable price. Our food was hot, delicious and properly prepared. We were there when the restaurant opened at 6 PM and shortly after there were two big groups of more than 15 each plus other guests so the place did fill up quickly. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a great evening meal.

Note: there is another restaurant (Wacky Wahoo's) in the Noord area so be sure the cab driver doesn't take you to the wrong location

This is a hard review to write. Nice local family restaurant, good customer service people, varied menu and prices. So, what happened? We came in behind 2 groups of 14. That was it. Caused getting food to be slow. Plus, BBQ special chicken and ribs were overlooked and dry. Filet was tough.

Dear Leanne,

First of all, I want to thank you for reviewing Waka Waka.

It was an absolute pleasure serving and meeting you and Greg that night.
I want to offer our sincerest apologies again for not meeting your expectations that evening, it was indeed very hectic in the restaurant.

We do hope that you give Waka Waka another opportunity, so we can make it up to you and your husband. I'll even make sure to have a great bottle of Pinot Grigio for you available :)

Wishing you a great day!
Big hugs, Daniela (Your Server that evening)

My wife and I went to this 'adventure cafe' with another couple, for the early bird special. Apart from one of the group, we wanted to try the cheetah chips, only find out there were no plantines available until the following week. If they read this(or other eateries do), if it's not available, tell your customers when you give them the menu. So, unfortunately, I had the salad, which was ok. For main I had grouper with creole dip - very nice and finally I had key lime pie(more of a cake than pie). All-in-all, nice place. Nice gent playing some back ground music on a keyboard was great fot the atmosphere.

Dear ldvrob,

Thank you for your review.

In Aruba we have to import plantains, and unfortunately plantains were not available anywhere in Aruba for those weeks.
Please accept our apologies though for not informing you in advance that they were not available.
We are happy to report that there is plantain available again in Aruba and hopefully upon your return you will give us at Waka Waka another opportunity to present you with the Cheetah Chips.

Thank you for the Kudos on the Grouper :)

Hope to see you back at Waka Waka!
