This place was fabulous! Huge hotel complex with amazing large swimming pools, great food & awesome people.Short walk to the beach with surf and kayak rentals. The beaches in Aruba are amazing. Somewhat of a distance from "downtown" which has the casinos and big hotels and restaurants, so you might need a vehicle unless you want to take a cab everywhere. But other than that the rooms were wonderful and so was the entire stay!

Love this location - close to city and busses, fantastic beach is not as crowded as those in Palm Beach area and has better waves. Or you can hang out in the lovely infinity pool with the swim-up bar. Staff is extremely helpful, even with oddball requests. Place is somewhat "insulated" from local people; you tend to meet other Americans/tourists only. Onsite entertainment is kind of hokey, but okay if this is your first time on island. Onsite restaurants are convenient and food is good but not very inspiring (pumpkin soup is authentic, though!) Rooms are nice and very well-equipped. Check-in/out is not well thought-out and lines can be long. You can spend your entire vacation here and never leave the resort and never get bored (but that would be a shame because there's so much more of the island to see) We bought a timeshare and have been coming back here almost every year for 15 years.

My wife & I stayed here, not of our choice, during February of 2010. We had reservations in a hotel / timeshare complex in the low rise section. A week before our arrival we were notified that the complex had been closed by the Government! A few days later our agent notified us that we would be staying at the Divi Golf Resort. The type of accomodations would be determined at the time of our arrival! We had no actual knowledge of the Divi and we were, at this time, in a state of, at least it's Aruba. Our arrival was smooth at the check-in desk. We, with our luggage, were directed to a golf cart shuttle for transportation to our quarters. The grounds were beautiful and immaculate as we were driven, what seemed like, a couple of blocks. At our villa we went up to the 2nd floor. We opened the door and were stunned by the layout, furniture, and space of the unit. One bedroom, 1 and 3/4 baths, dining area, kitchen, and living room with a sliding glass door to the balcony with views of the golf course. Getting to the Divi beach section, located at the "Tam", was a hike. But there were three pools within a two, four, and five minute walk. The free shuttle service, golf cart, was available and used nightly to go the Alhambra Casino. We had a great time and wouldn't hesitiate going back.

I stayed at the resort 1/7/12/ to 1/14/12. I had a newly renovated studio on the 5th floor of Building C. So new that a few items were missing such as lights over counter and on balcony where wires were left hanging. However the room and the view were wonderful. They are doing a lot of construction renovations on site including elevators but the noise was at a minimum and did not interfere with my good time. The only on site restaurant I tried was the Sea breeze. Prices for breakfast were reasonable $6 for pancakes and food was good. The all day menu was way over priced $8 for 6 winglets. Not the whole wing which really means you got 3 wings. $4 for French fries and 410 for microwave pizza. Catching the bus which is $2.30 round trip and eating in town was cheaper and the portions were filling. It is a 10 minute ride into down town. Iguanas Joes in town especially was good and had reasonable prices. The resort is across from beach which from my room was a 3 minute walk. They have good happy hours at the seat breeze and the beach bar 2 for 1. Double check hours. Most staff I encounter was courtesy and helpful. There is no free wireless but computers available in the lobby for use. No problem for me because I am on vacation and have no need to be on line more than once a day or so to check email. There is a shuttle system you have to figure out that takes you all around and near the store and to the casino. I would definitely go back next year and hopefully all the renovations will be complete and the restaurants at the Casino will be open. The beach is uncrowed and beautiful.

Room tip: Get a renovated room.

This resort is awesome, rooms are very clean and tastefully decorated. The pools are beautiful, especially the infinity pool with a swim up bar. If you love to golf this is the place to be with the beautiful Links Golf course. The beaches are beautiful! I love this resort so much we bought a time share and go twice a year!
