This was twenty-second consecutive year and the renovations have had new luster to the rooms and grounds. The staff is great and always helpful. You can be as busy or relaxed as you wish. It is our "home away from home".

Room Tip: Buildings C & D are off line due to renovation, but request an ocean view if at all possible.

We stayed at the Divi Golf Villas june 15-20 2011. We had a 2 bedroom, with was a one bedroom suite with adjoining suite. The rooms were very nice and had great space. My parents also went and had a 1 bedroom suite and said it was very nice. We had private transfers to the resort which was nice, there was not much waiting involved. We were not in the same building and at first we thought it might be a problem, but it was not they were a couple of buildings over. We did pay for the all inclusive and I do think that is worth it. The pool at the golf villas is the only one with a swim up bar, but there did not seem to be much going on there, so we would go across the street to the divi and stay at that pool and go to the beach. It is not a far walk but with kids we took the carts over and they were always coming around or you could call and have them meet you and take you over. The beach and water was beauitful, the kids loved it. The pools were small but the golf pool is bigger but the kids wanted to be over at the other pools. We did not have problems finding chairs by the pool which was nice. We did miss having service at the pool, but it was not a big deal, the bar was right there to go and get what you needed. The all inclusive was great for the kids because if they did not like something we could get something else. We liked the seafood and the asian food the best. The breakfast buffets were good. We did love the pizzas by the pool, and the kids did to. They did not offer a lot of activites for the kids during the day by the pool. They did have the kids club but our youngest daughter (10) did not want to do it and of course our 13 year old daughter was more interested in dong activites by the pool. She did play pool vollayball was she enjoyed, but maybe if they had a bit more going on throughout the day it might have been better. Saying that we all had a great time. They did offer shows every night which was great, we all enjoyed going to those and they were all good. We would definately return to the Divi and would recommend it. We fell it was a great price and the golf villas were very nice. Everyone who worked there went out of there way to help and did a great job.

Room Tip: stay at the golf villas, very nice and spacious.

We stayed in a one bedroom villa that had two full bathrooms, two private balconies as well as an rooftop lounge area with a hot tub, bbq grill and shaded eating area. The place was exceptionally clean and the staff was very attentive and kind. Our kids loved the twisty slide at the pool which never got overly crowded. There is a swim up bar and an infinity edge pool which we enjoyed as well. We never heard any noise while in the villa. There was a family staying below us but we only saw them, never heard them at all. The villa is equipped with a full kitchen which made it really nice to have the option to have meals in. We would definitely stay there again!

The beach is a short golf cart ride across the street. We had a rental car so we just drove to it which took all of 3 minutes. We liked the end of the beach we were on as it was much less crowded than the high rise hotel area which we have stayed at before.

What is not to like about this island? They speak English, accept US dollars, driving is easy and they are generally very pleasant people in Aruba. Our very large studio unit was on the 3rd floor and overlooked the golf course. We spent most a.m. hours sitting on the shaded deck reading. There was a lovely pool and the beautiful beach was a short 4 block walk. A big complaint I heard over and over was the lack of adequate chairs around the pool and on the beach. A frequent resort visitor said that was a recent problem. She urged people to complain to management. There is a rule that you can't "save" chairs but staff refused to honor it. The usual selfish folks put a towel or shirt down and walked away for hours. The little lizards bother some people but not us. We were told it was warmer than usual (90s) but the light breeze made it very comfortable. We rented a car one day and drove the entire island. There is not a ton of touristy things to do but if you are looking for warm weather out of the hurricane belt, it was a pleasant winter escape.
