We loved our 5-night stay at the Tamarijn with our 2 tween children. They loved the all-inclusive, all-you-can-eat environment, especially our 12 yr old son!! Kids snorkeled everyday, played volleyball on he pool, and ping-pong in the evenings.
Check-in/Check-out process was very good, so we really maximized our time there.
Can’t beat the location, the beach, the sunsets!
Note quite a 5-Star stay for a few reasons. Rooms are very small for 4 people, and nothing is stocked in the fridge. The food at the buffet was good, but not fabulous. There was plenty to choose from though.
The other restaurants required reservations, and the reservation process made it difficult. You have to be in line early in the morning the day before to get a reservation. The restaurants themselves were quite good though.
Bartenders - some were very friendly, but a few were pretty gruff. All drinks served in small plastic cups. However, if you bring your own (water bottle, etc) the bartenders will fill it for you. Plenty of water refill stations around the property.
They advertise a kids club for kids up to age 12, but it was small, and really geared for kids under 7-8 I think.
All-in-all it was a great family vacation spot! And we would take the kids here again. However, if it were a couples vacation for us, I think we would abandon the all-inclusive for a different type of resort.More
